Le Cellier with no ADR

Has anyone had any luck with showing up to Le Cellier with out a ADR? I imagine a long wait but is it worth a shot? Do they have a bar to sit and wait at?

I have been calling everyday with no luck

we got laughed out of the restaurant at 11 am wanting ANYTHING for the entire day. they were quoting a 2 hour wait..at opening...

We showed up at 11:30 when they opened and several groups of walk-ups got in first thing for lunch, including us (party of 3). That's what I would recommend doing as a walk-up.

walk ups are not normal.Most times the Cms will tell you they are booked solid for the night and they are not taking any standby guests.If you were to try it ,I would go at opening .

it has happened.......last September we walked up to the podium and the two people in front of us got in and we didnt.......so dont hold out hope for it but it can happen......

There is not a bar you can wait at in Le Ceiller. I have had lunch there 3 times, and I have never heard the sit any walk-ups. You can try, but I wouldn't depend on getting in.

Thanks everyone! We currently have reservations in France, so we may check Le Cellier when they first open for dinner at 4. We've never been to either resturant but have heard such great reviews on Le Cellier

I tried to walk up more than once last September and again this June as they opened and was always told they are booked up solid. That said it is on the way to France so it wouldn't be out of the way to try. If you don't get it and eat in France we loved it there too.
