would we get the evil eye when we walk in and would they spit in our water ??? LOL Is it more of an "older crowd" restaurant??

I know there is a HUGE, big ol' fat chance of us even getting in, but if there is chance, I want to at least try, but we'd have the kids, no getting out of it !

I wouldn't go. My kids are 4 and 1 and we've never been there. I've read several dining reviews that it's a very small, very intimate space NOT kid friendly. However, if you had a well mannered 6 year old, I'd go. Just not 3 under 3.

Do they even have room for two highchairs at the table???:confused3

Eat in Mexico, the kids will enjoy it much more! Or Japan! My DS4 loves the table action at Teppan Edo.

I think Le Cellier is very kid friendly and we are a group of all adults. The restaurant is not huge but it's not "intimate" either. In fact, last time there two months ago they ran out of high chairs because so many diners were there with small children.

This place is always packed to the rim with people and it's fairly noisy. The tables are close together so you might be talking to your neighbors and chances are they will have children at their table too.

Trust me, nobody will spit in your water here if you show up with 3 young children. Just because you have little ones with you doesn't mean you are relegated to eat only character buffets. Go and enjoy a very nice meal.

I also think it is very kid friendly. I would go. We took our 3 DS's 4,2,and 2 in Nov/Dec and no one even batted an eyelash. They enjoyed the food especially the pretzel bread sticks. My 4 yr old had the steak and now wants steak every night. It is a smaller place but I would not hesitate to take my kids back there.

Go & enjoy yourself! I just brought my two DD's ages 2 & 3 & it was no problem. There are a lot of kids here - it's Disney! My 2 yr old filled up on milk & pretzle bread as her dinner & our waitress never let it run out! They were very accomidating to the kids.

You might be thinking of a different restaurant -Bistro de Paris, maybe? Le Cellier is anything but small and intimate. It's a big room packed to the gills with lots and lots of families. At any given meal, you'll see dozens of kids in there.

I say take your children and go!! Unless it is a restaurant that states no children then I think you are good to go. Just my opinion, but I wouldn't give you the evil eye!!

Its kid friendly. Its intimate in that the tables are so close together that you quickly become intimate friends with the family from Santa Fe sitting next to you. Its noisy. It isn't as "kid friendly" as a restaurant with characters, but it isn't stuffy.

However, how brave to try and eat any meal that involves sitting down for an hour with three under three! To deal with your own sanity, be prepared. Let the waitstaff know you want to move through the meal quickly. Let some take the toddlers for a walk while you wait for food. Bring your own goldfish or cheerios and something for them to play with. I don't remember what much tasted like while my kids were that age (mine are a year apart, so I had two toddlers at Disney for the first trip - enchanting - but challenging). Be prepared to remove the kids and take your food out in a box to eat later. You may get lucky and have them all fall asleep exhausted in their chairs.

(The fear of the dreaded take out box is why I discourage taking young kids into signature restaurants - the expensive ones. Disney restuarants are overwhelming "kid friendly" but many toddlers have their monster moments and no Disney restuarant is monster friendly. Having to put Le Cellier's steak into a to-go box is a shame, having to put Jiko's steak in a to go box is a federal crime. Even just having to eat Jiko's steak between "use an inside voice" and "eat something other than the French Fries sweetie" and rushing it because the kid can't sit for two hours at Jiko - even if we avoid having to leave, isn't pleasant to me).

People are under the assumption that Le Cellier is a fancy restaurant..I was there in November and there were TONS of kids! I also didn't know what to expect so we made arrangements for our kids 10, 7 and 6 so my hubby and I could go alone. I was actually annoyed when I saw how many kids were there! Not at them..but at myself for not bring them..after all it is Disney.

Le Cellier is nothing fancy..pretty dark and loud..the food is good and they have a wonderful menu for the kids. We are returning in August and this time my kids are coming. I saw every age..it is a great place for the kids! ;)

Do what my friends parents use to do give him sausages and tell him it is steak just rolled up. LOL

It's very kid friendly. I had a little kid who was sitting near me on a bench just scoot over and sit on my lap. It made my day! The mom & dad were slightly embarassed but that's what made it even funnier!

BTW if you have a few beers (Moosehead or La Fin Dumonde) you'll be much more mellow.........

Okay, so I haven't been to V&A's (for my taste that one is not VACATION-friendly!) No dress clothes go into my suitcase when I go on vacation!!!! LOL

As for LeCellier being stuffy...Not at all! We had a 16 month old with us, my DGS, and the waitstaff brought him all kinds of food to keep him busy...Crackers, etc. They were great! And he has been back a second time and will be going a third in May.

Go...Enjoy...WDW is one place that you don't have to worry about taking your kids to a restaurant...EVERYONE IS DOING IT!!!

Personally I think all Disney resturant (with the exception of VA) is kid friendly and you will find LOTS of kids at all resturants... we are taking our DD4 to all the pleces we want... she is well behaved but we always know a meltdown is of course possible....

I think Le Cellier is Family friendly. The CM were great to my 2.5 year old son when we ate there last Sept. They gave him a color book and cranyons. He really liked their pretzel bread!! :)

I don't think you have to worry, it's disney they know people are going to bring kids, and so they are prepared with the coloring books and crayons and the CM are ready to make them happy, I say go and have an amazing dinner with your kids

My kids never did good at the three and under age with the crayons and such - they needed somthing easier to manipulate than the small crayons we would get at restarants (and home it was those fat markers that they drew with). So if we wanted a quiet meal, we'd bring something other than the provided crayons.

Even now - at eight and nine - they go through the sheets so fast that we are best off if they have something else as well (paper for them to draw on, a workbook).

You are basically in a basement with walls that can echo. If your three will be noisy, you are really not being fair to the guests who are expecting a nice table service dinner. If your three tend to be quiet, they can remain seated for the most part and can wait until you actually get served, go ahead.

I know when my husband and celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary we ate at Le Cellier. We were expecting a nice dinner, but we got a noisy bunch of kids right next to us who kept running around their table, dropping stuff on the floor, yelling, etc. With parents who didn't have a clue. Even our server made a comment about these clueless parents.

Just be courteous regarding the other guests in the place.

There is a segment of the DIS community who feel children should be banished to only CS restaurants so "they" can "enjoy" a meal without children.......ignore them!!! We have always taken our children to any type restaurant since they were infants.......this is how we have taught them proper restaurant manners and respect. Avoiding restaurants just because you have very young children is not the answer, good parenting is!!! Enjoy your dinner at Le Cellier (any restaurant for that matter) and research which venues offer kids menus. If they have a kids menu then they are expecting children; if no kids meals are offered you should consider avoiding these places. Don't be afraid to allow your children the experience of learning how to act in a nice restaurant.......if they don't learn early it will be tough to teach them later!!!

:thumbsup2
