Le Cellier-What to eat for lunch?

This is my first time at Le Cellier....What do you recommend for lunch?:cool1:

We love LeCellier! We get the Prix Fixe lunch (28.99) and split it. You get choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. DD and I love the cheddar cheese soup w/pretzel bread:lovestruc DS enjoyed the burger last time we were there. It's not on the menu but I always ask for a chocolate raspberry shake...it is sooo good. Can't wait until Sept to have another:banana:

DH and I both had the strip steak with mashed potatoes, and it was de-lish!! We were on dining plan, but I also opted to pay OOP to try that cheddar cheese soup, and I have to say it was worth it - Yum!!! Especially when you dunk that pretzel bread into it :lovestruc Oh boy, can't wait to go again in July - though this time we are trying it for dinner! :yay:

This:thumbsup2
Have also had the filet mignon with risotto which I loved too.

I got the filet, my fiance got the strip, and we got the cheddar cheese soup to share. We LOVED everything we had! I preferred my filet, but he preferred his strip, so we obviously ordered the correct items :thumbsup2 For dessert, we both had the maple creme brulee - I loved it, but by the end my fiance was wishing he ordered the chocolate whiskey cake (which I encouraged him to order!) as he's not as much of a creme brulee lover as I am :cloud9:

I REALLY enjoyed the burger for lunch.
DH had the filet with mushroom risotto, which was also REALLY good

Last time we were there, the four of us, all adults shared two appetizers and each had a bowl of the cheese soup. We had the duck meatballs and the chicken and chipotle sausage platters. It was perfect for the four of us to share.

Hi if your on the dining plan and eating there for lunch I know it covers entree and dessert but are you able to order the prix fixe lunch like some of the others
Thanks

Last month when I had Lunch there I ordered a Bowl of the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup and the Le Cellier House Burger, however I had mine without the Roasted Mushrooms.

I also would have to say to try the cheddar cheese soup for sure. The filet mignon is wonderful and the pretzel bread which we got 3 baskets of.

Yes, you can order the prix fixe. Keep in mind that they want you to order the prix fixe because your choice of entrees is limited and includes the less expensive ones. For example, the mushroom filet is $26.99 and the strip is $31.99, but you can't get those on the prix fixe - the most expensive entree on the prix fixe is the steak and potato skillet at $19.99. However, if one of them is what you're looking for, go for it!

I can't wait to try the cheddar cheese soup. I think I'll get the burger to go along with it. That will be my "main" meal for the day. That way I can snack around the world. :rotfl:

Good plan- I split the burger and soup with my dm for lunch last trip- soooo good and more than enough for two- we were too full for dessert

we went twice on our last trip -

1st time dh ordered strip steak and I got mushroom filet. We both much preferred the filet, by far.

2nd time, dh ordered the burger and I stuck to my filet. We were both in heaven.

The burger is HUGE and if you get that with the fries and soup it may be hard to eat any dessert.
