It's amazing how different people have different perspectives. I just relooked at my picture and thought, "Wow...that moose is wearing mouse ears!"

Just curious if the bacon only garnishes the soup or if the soup is actually cooked with the bacon? We are non-pork eaters.

If you read the recipe that was posted you'll see that you cook the bacon, and use the bacon fat to render the onions and garlic -

I love bacon, and honestly when I ate the soup, I didnt taste the bacon - so if you order it you could have them leave off the garnish of bacon bits - and you might not taste it - it depends...

I made the recipe and it turned out fine - but its a lot of work!!

The steaks and the salmon are really delicious. And so are the maple creme brulee and chocolate "moose." And the breadsticks. And, oh, the cheese soup. Well, you get the idea. Just about anything you order is going to be good. What makes it extra special for us is the friendliness of the Canadian CMs waiting on you there. They just make you feel so comfortable and very well taken care of. Hope you will try it.

The soup was, oh, a seven, and the bread was, too, but I absolutely have to agree with this, and give the CMs a 10!! From check-in to check, please, everyone was so attentive and friendly.

Oh, and the filet mignon wasn't bad, either.

I haven't had the moose in several years, but back then I believe they took two chocolate cookies, put them on a plate, put a scoop of mousse on each one, that's been rolled in crushed chocolate crumbs, and then they decorate it with M&Ms, cookie antlers, and a candy tongue. The last one I had had blueberries for eyes, a raspberry for a nose, raw spaghetti for whiskers, and a tongue that was painted onto the plate with somekind of sweet gel stuff.
