I'm looking for help. We are going with friends who are doing the Princess Storybook Lunch at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

DS, age 11, has no desire to do this TS. When he looked at the list of restaurants, he thought Coral Reef. I would love to do Le Cellier.

He is a picky eater, but I think he could order the steak at Le Cellier. Anyone with kids who can help me sell my son on the idea of Le Cellier. I've eaten at Coral Reef and wasn't thrilled with the food.

We are on the DDP.

Thanks!

I'm sorry, I can't help you. Like your son, I would choose Coral Reef over Le Cellier. Perhaps you and he can go over the menus together and see what piques his interest after that. Since he's a picky eater, he might be persuaded to try Le Cellier over the somewhat fussy fish dishes that Coral Reef offers.

I personally dont care for Le Cellier. So i cant help either. :lmao: But on my last trip i had to convince my DS11 to go to Le Cellier (it was our 1st time at the restaurant and i REALLY wanted to try it). It was like pulling teeth trying to convince him to go! In the end, I had to pull him by the ear. But honestly I wish I listened to him and just got a quick service. :lmao: But thats besides the point! Lol! You could compromise like I did with my son. I told him "you had your choice of restaurants, this one choice is mine".

I love Coral Reef so I'm a bit biased :rolleyes1 but I don't think Le Cellier is worth 2 TS. If Le Cellier was still 1 TS, I would say go with either one because both are good restaurants, IMO.

Only dinner is 2 credits; it sounds like the OP is talking about lunch.

I didn't enjoy my Le Cellier lunch, but I thought Coral Reef was worse. The meal was so incredibly bland. Coral Reef has declined a long way since it was considered one of Disney's finest. If you stick with the filet at LC, I would definitely choose Le Cellier.

Le Cellier make some awesome food but Coral Reef has the awesome gaint fish tank lol I enjoy both resturants this is a tough one but I would go for
Coral Reef for lunch ....

LOVED the atmosphere at Coral Reef (with the exception of yelling kids nearly climbing INTO our booth, but this is not the fault of the restaurant)...the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything amazing either. But if it were me, I'm a bit of pushover, so I'd do Coral Reef for my DS. ;)

Ok - wait. In all my years on the Disboards I have never seen a discussion that has been all in favor of Coral Reef:fish: over LeCellier. But I also agree.:goodvibes We had lunch at LeCellier in August and it was actually terrible. Neither of my kids loved their meals and we really didn't love ours. We have eaten at Coral Reef many times and have always enjoyed our meals as well as great service. For our upcoming trip we have Coral Reef booked for lunch but took a pass on LeCellier.

SO TRUE!!! I'd only choose CR b/c it's what my kids wanted. I'm going to Le Cellier for lunch this trip and CAN'T WAIT.

The thing my kids have liked in the past were the smores and chocolate moose dessert at Le Cellier. Perhaps you could show him pictures of those? That being said Le C went from a favorite to an absolute we don't want to eat there any more over the past few years. My steaks were too full of gristle and the waits were ridiculous for the crowded atmosphere and so so food and service. We've had better luck at Coral Reef.
