Tell me your opinions on each! I have never eaten here. I do know from reading here on the boards that the filet has changed to a mushroom filet.

I like steak, but wondered which you thought was better?

A strip steak is usually more flavorful and a filet is usually more tender, so it just depends upon what you prefer in your steak.

i always get the filet - i prefer the tender cut - DH loves the NY strip - but we've never had a bad steak at le cellier!

We had the strip on our last visit and it was very good. I will be trying the filet this time

I love the filet's texture and flavor, but the strip steak is also very good. I would decide based on how hungry you are and how much you could eat. :)

I thought they had taken the filet off the menu? :confused3 Last time I checked AllEarsNet.com it wasn't on there anymore.

The maple filet is gone, but the filet with mushrooms and risoto is still there. It's excellent!

This place is booked solid six months in advance for dinner!

I typically choose strip over filet but ventured out on a limb and ordered the mushroom filet on 3 May 2008. OMG, it was HEAVENLY! :cloud9: I asked for the mashed potatoes instead of the risotto and they accommodated me with no problem. I'll have to go back again to try the strip I guess!

Probably the best meal I had during vacation - and I had Tuna Oscar at Kona Cafe, Pork Loin at Narcoossee's, Filet at Jiko's and Lamb at Jiko's.

go for it!

My wife always get the filet - she likes the tender cut and the size is just right for her- I love the NY strip - we've never had a bad steak at Le Cellier. They both seem to cut like butter and the taste is fabulous!
