Looking at the menu I see they serve the same things at lunch for dinner but dinner is a signature dining. What is the difference between lunch and dinner and why is dinner more, do they give more food or something?

Le Cellier is a rip off and way overrated. Their steaks are a disgrace to Canada....I can say this cause im from Canada!! LOL!!! Honestly i didnt enjoy my steak at all, fatty and tasteless. The "famous" soup wasnt anything to brag about either. Teppan Edo had far better steaks than Le Cellier. So the fact that dinner is now 2TS credits is HILARIOUS!!! :lmao:

We used to go there all the time (DH loves the soup and I always had good filets there) but ever since going to Yachtsman, we don't go there anymore. After I saw that they changed it to signature and saw the prices, we definitely won't be going back now. There's no way we'd go there just for the pretzle bread and soup anyway.

It is 2TS credits for dinner because it is a WAY small,WAY overcrowded and consistently booked resturant.Disney made it 2TS because people are willing to shell out the $$ and credits for it,not because it is anything special or extra at dinner.IMHO I have had better steaks at Outback steakhouse than at Le Cellier.

I'm in the minority here, but DH and I love Le Cellier! We have never had a fatty fillet in all the times we've been there. You can cut it with a fork! They told me in December that it was becoming a signature because they had so many no shows with the ressies, if you have to give your credit card, you'll probably show!

LOVE Le Cellier and only since the switch to Signature have the steaks been from Canada. Prior to that--they were from Australia.

I think the food is far better than Yachtsman..we had an awful dining experience there a few weeks back.

IMO

I think they should ALL ask for a cc to secure reservations because as you said, if you provide that you either will show or at least call to cancel. This ADR system at Disney is nonsense.

We ate there Saturday March 19th for lunch and it was very good. Not all items are on the lunch menu. For example : Salmon dinner was not available for lunch. I had a big bowl of the cheddar soup that day and also ordered a cheeseburger which I could barely eat. Such a shame as it was so good!!!I will not go back there for dinner as lunch was just enough!!!

I was there for both dinner and lunch a few weeks back--I also had the soup and burger which I thought was fabulous and only made it through half of sadly..for lunch that's pretty hefty!

But you don't have to reserve it with a CC.

I believe they have added a few more things to the dinner menu that they did not offer before to make it a signature dining experience. However, since I can get the same steak for lunch that I would normally get for dinner. We are going for lunch this year to save an extra TS credit.

Somewhere on these boards they say they are using the old beef (Australian) at lunch? Not sure if that's true...

Enjoyed that review-thanks for sharing! I enjoy the truffle oil on the pretzel sticks yummm!!:thumbsup2

The steak was way over seasoned, to the point you could not even tast he meat at all. That is what you do when you have bad cooks or bad cuts of meat. The server was the most ego arrogent person i have ever met in my life. I wanted to try a few of there on tap beers but he would not let me saying that are all great and has never had someone say they did not like it. he was smug and on top of it all was a bad server!!

Will never go back there!!! I could get a overseasoned steak anywhere!

You can ask them not to season your steak or to season minimally?
I haven't had this problem..but I would be sure to if I had!

Wow, I am surprised to see so many negative posts. We are 45 minutes north of New Orleans, LA. We have nothing but fabulous restaurants around us. We ate at Le Cellier this past November. My wife and I both agreed that it was one of the best meals we have ever eaten in our life. The filet was absolutely perfect. I guess every restaurant has its bad nights as well. We are going back this November and will be eating there again. I don't even care if it is a signature now. Maybe it will be easier to get a reservation!
