My next trip is the last week of November first few days of December - I can't find any available times for Le Cellier Steakhouse at Epcot. Has anyone else had trouble booking that particular restaurant? We haven't been able to eat there the last couple of trips and it was one our favorites.

IMO, it's always a hard one to get. Even with the so so reviews it gets, it still is a tough one to book. I was lucky to get one but we had to book it 180 days out. People are always canceling their ressies so I would keep trying as often as you can. You may get lucky :)

Also - another option someone pointed out in a different thread today - the lunch vs. dinner menu at LCS is very similar. You could let your party review the menus and see if anyone would order something only available at dinner. If not, maybe a late lunch would work (although LCS is still on the Candlelight Processional Dining Package for lunch) - it might be worth a shot if you feel strongly about eating at this restaurant.

Thanks! I've been checking periodically to see if anything opens up. We are on the dining plan, but was disappointed that they changed the restaurant to "signature dining" which requires 2 table service credits for dinner and it also takes 2 credits for the candlelight dinner package. I guess that sounds like I don't want to eat there as bad I thought I did! :lmao: Just kidding - I would be willing to do that for the candlelight package. :)

OH no you don't! I need it for that same week, guess we'll have to battle it out. :goodvibes

I actually was able to score Le Cellier on NYE!! Then, I got cold feet about the crowds and was lured by free dining to the week after Thanksgiving. I'm going to be giving up that ressie soon, should I post it here in case someone wants to nab it? (Not trying to hijack)

Has Le Cellier changed significantly to justify the signature 2 TS credit status? Better decor, larger or better prepared steaks?

I was wondering that too. It's been a couple of years since I've eaten there, so I didn't know if there had been an upgrade to the restaurant. Looks like lunch is still 1 TS.

ROFL! I haven't called for dining reservations, just used the online option - I don't really know if that would make a difference. Good luck to both of us with our ressies! :)

Calling does make a difference I think... I had to call this weekend to book the Mama Melrose F! package from a regular Mama Melrose reservation. There were no packages open online for my date at any time but 5 minutes later when I called the dining hotline I was given 3 open times... doesn't hurt to call and ask!

On the Dining Reservations subforum there's a cancelled reservations thread for each month. That would be the best place to post it because many people looking for a specific place/date will be subscribing to it.

Le Cellier is one of the most popular restaurants at WDW. It is also one of the smallest - I think the capacity is only about 150. That makes it difficult to get. Yes, lunch is still one TS but dinner is now two. The menu changes at dinner and the portions are larger. The decor is exactly the same and the tables are still pretty much on top of one another.

It used to be the absolute most difficult reservation to get...but I think that designation now belongs to 'Ohana dinner, at least before 8 PM.

Candlelight packages at Le Cellier are only available for lunch. All Candlelight packages cost 2 credits.

Wow - I never realized how popular Le Cellier was before I started working ADRs for this trip! I've been dreaming about that pretzel bread so I hope calling dining reservations works! :)

I had to make our Le Celliar ADR on the exact day our 180 days out started, lol
But, call if you can't find a ressie online, that's what I just did today with Sci Fi, all my ADR's were set except them, on line wasn't helping at all, I called and got one, it's later at night but I will keep checking back to see if we can get an earlier one
Good Luck! :wizard:

Hi,

I could not get a table at Le Cellier before my last trip to Disney but when I was at the WL I asked at the dining reservations desk if there was anything available for dinner the following night- and got Le Cellier for lunch. ( this was for 1 person)

So keep checking and good luck!

Regards

I thought I had finally struck gold last night when I was making ADR's for our trip online. We have decided to use 2 TS for the candlelight package and an opening for Le Cellier showed up online - however everytime I tried to finalize the reservation it would show the Biergarten restaurant as my selection. So....I called dining and the CM was so excited for me! He said he hadn't been able to book Le Cellier for a couple of weeks, but alas......it was just an error...all he could see was Biergarten too. We decided to try La Hacienda for the package.

I will keep checking and maybe even when we arrive we'll luck into something for Le Cellier!

Thanks for all your suggestions!!:goodvibes

We'll be there at the same time! AND I am stressing about NOT getting LeCellier!!!!! I could kick myself for not booking it when my 180 day window opened. I did see a ressie tonight on either the 3 or 4th..may have been another day-anwyays- I was looking at the 28th-7th if that helps. The time was 3:55. Would be perfect for us, but we are not using TWO TSs for a dinner there. It IS wonderful, but that's too much. I'm gonna keep checking for a lunchtime ressie until we get there. Or just walk up right as they open...we have done that and got right in.

Guys, I just want to add to KEEP TRYING! :) I am helping a friend with her ADRs, her trip is in 1 week and she kinda left it to the last minute and couldn't get a lot of the big restaurants! Well, after randomly checking online every few hours the past few days, we were able to get her Le Cellier for lunch, Crystal Palace breakfast, Chef Mickey breakfast, and Ohana dinner! So it IS possible, people change all the time, so keep looking!
