We have 1TS left on the DDP and don't know how to use it. I have 2 DS ages 7 & 4, will they enjoy Le Cellier? or get a bigger kick:yay: out of Whispering Canyon. My DH and I have gone back and forth with no final decision. :confused3

Also, does anyone know if you can order off the menu at Mama Melrose's when eating there with the Fanstamic package?

Thanks for the help.

Le Cellieur is just a normal restaurant with good food and a nice atmosphere for adults. Whispering Canyon is a fun place where the waitstaff "entertains" you while you eat. I'm sure the 4 and 7 year olds would prefer Whispering Canyon but Mom and Dad might prefer Le Cellieur.

I've only done the Fantasmic package once at Mama Melroses but I remember it was a set menu for the package people and you had to order from that menu. You might get a server who is willing to bend the rules but I wouldn't count on it.

I can say that we did both Le Cellier and WCC last Aug. and while hubby and I enjoyed Le Cellier the kids definitely liked WCC more. Le Cellier is rather "boring" for kids and of all the meals we had this one took the longest, making for antsy kids by the time the meal was over (mine were 12 and 5 at the time). Also, the tables are very close together at Le Cellier so we really felt cramped the whole time. We thought the food was good but the kids thought is was just OK (although they LOVED the Chocolate Moose:love: )

WCC is definitely more of a fun atmosphere - DD who was 5 loved the pony races and both kids got a kick out of what happened to my DH when he told our waitress he was missing his fork from his place setting!

Have a great trip!:goodvibes

We did both on our last trip and WCC is better for kids. The food is just ok, the service is marginal, but the "high jinx" and atmosphere is what the boys will like.

Try LeCellier for better food, relaxed atmosphere and superior service.

Enjoy :thumbsup2

I think WCC is a much better choice for kids...

LeCellier is dark and more suited for adults...or older kids...

WCC is a lot of fun...

I think you can order off regular menu now with fantasmic pckge.

We ate at both places last week. One thing to keep in mind..how out going are your kids? My DD10 thought she was too old to join in on the games @ whispering canyon...our server was a flop....no interaction other than throwing straws. Another server came over and "played" a little. We enjoyed watching everyone else having fun. Service was really slow but we didn't mind, there was alot to entertain us.
Le Cellier!!! DD10 was old enough to appreciate this "grown-up" resturant and everyone loved their steak. They had just added to their menu the day of our ADR...DH had Duck appetizer and said that almost was meal within itself...DH is picky and raved all week about LeCellier. I didn't see Chocolate Moose on Kids Menu but DH got it and we all shared our desserts. Best Creme Burlee! DH loved mine.
Maybe this helped...:lmao:

LeCellier is fabulous - however, it's definitely more geared towards adults. I heard a rumor that they don't have any open ADRs for 4 months (I'm not sure how true it is, so no flaming please!) but you may want to check on that bc it could make your choice a heck of a lot easier :goodvibes

I believe I read on one of the boards recently that Mama Melrose you now can order off the menu. And that its not a set menu like it was.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your input.:thumbsup2 My wonderful DH has suggested that we use our TS for Le Cellier and pay OOP for Whispering Canyon. Although, I am wondering if it would just be better to save Le Cellier for a hubby and me alone time

with kids your age i would go with WCC over Le Cellier just for the atmosphere. The tables are close in Le Cellier, and the servers almost seem a little snobbish @ times. Both are great restaurants, but WCC would probly be better for younger children.

We have eaten at both with DS (7), and although he had a good time at WC- he LOVED LeCellier. I think it was because he felt like a grown up- got to eat steak, cool dessert, and he enjoyed the atmosphere. So, it probably depends on your kids.

I'm not sure when you are going - but we are going 9/29 - 10/7 and I could not get an ADR for Le Cellier for dinner other than 7:40 p.m. or later on any night of our stay. When I 1st called they did have some early times like 4:10. I wouldn't hesitate on booking it as soon as you can based on your dates. I was just under the 180 days out when I booked mine. Even the Cast Member was surprised - some nights were sold out completely.

We are going the end of May. I have made ADRs for both Le Cellier and WC, knowing that I would cancel one after a decision has been made. At this point, I think we are going to do both.
