Le Cellier or somewhere else?

Decided to give Le Cellier a try since we had a 50% off CM coupon to use.....gotta tell you, I would NEVER want to pay full price for the steak we had. It wasn't even cooked like we asked. It was so RARE I wondered if it even hit the pan. The sauce flight had a couple of good ones and one that tasted like bottled steak sauce. The bread service at the start of meal had some really good pretzel bread, but the other bread was so hard it seemed like it had been left out from the day before. The Cheese Plate was also served with bread, or what I am to assume was their version of crostini.....thick pieces of very hard toast. it was easier to just eat the cheese without it. Very disappointed in the meal and felt really bad for the other guests all around us that had paid full price OR 2 dining credits for this meal.
I suggest you get a steak elsewhere!!!

We did not have a good experience at Le Cellier for my daughter's 13th birthday last year. I won't be back for awhile.

I had to send my steak back because it was so raw, it was mooing. The sides were meh. Our waiter was overworked, cranky and everyone seemed flustered from the hostess to the people bringing out the food.

You know, all I remember was waiting in line with my tray and sliding it down the rails.
It was a long time ago, and less than mediocre.

Out of curiosity what year are we talking… I am 62 and started going to Disney in 1978 and I’ve been to Disney, many many times that I do not remember that at all… but that being said when I was younger, when I would go with my mother, after my father passed away, we would always eat at quick service restaurant .. she would always say “a set down meal was to expensive” ..she has since passed. If only she knew how much I spent now!! Marla

Ezma , I first went to Epcot in 1984.
The Le Cellier cafeteria had all the vibes of a …. Fancy basement. It was themed as a wine cellar. . As PP said, you slid your 4th grade school tray down the bars and took stuff, like a pudding with Cool Whip. But the Tortiere “Canadian Pot Pie” was quite awesome. And the maple syrup pie was… unusual. They also had a Major Domo pie in Cinderella castle in MK at the very reasonable lunch that was awesome. So Disney has saturated the filet medallions market, and abandoned their pot pies.

I grew up in SoCal, and DL was a 1 day trip on your bday, with a burger and apple turnover form the window in Tomorrowland. I remember sailing down the Bayou in Pirates and looking longingly at Blue Bayou, where the fancy people ate. And my dad, every time calling them suckers for eating where they already had a ticket to see on the ride. I got to go to DL last year in conjunction with a business trip, and guess where I ate twice?

Thank you so much for the article. I had no clue it was ever cafeteria style. it is so much fun going down memory lane! The more I think about it, we did eat at only one sit down restaurant each time we went and it was the Biergarten . And now when my family and I go its a must each time to eat there! Its all about memories!!!! Marla
