Which is more kid friendly, Le Cellier or San Angel Inn? Also, which do you feel has better food? I've heard a lot of good things about Le Cellier, but have never eaten at either. Thanks for your advice.

We've eaten at both. I would think the San Angel is more interesting for kids, lots to look at--the volcano, the boats going by, the music in the pavillion, etc. Food-wise I would say they are about the same.

These are the same two restaurants we are trying to decide between for our first night stay. Although we have no kids, I am a pretty picky eater ;). My mom LOVES Mexican food but I am not sure how good it is there. I guess we will have to try both :p

Our ds was 4 when we went to Sangle inn and he got very scared of the dark and the volcano, which caused him to be very ancy the whole time we were there ,plus his chicken fingures were not very good. DW and I loved it though and want to go back again. LeCelliar was great for everyone.

My family loves Le Cellier. We go here every visit. We went to San Angel on the last trip and my kids didn't like the food at all. They did like the volcano.

When my kids were little we never tried Le Cellier...it was cafeteria service in those days. I think it is a little loud when kids are noisy because of the ceiling. San Angel absorbs the sound better because it is so cavernous and because of the background noise. My kids loved it when they were small...so much to see. I don't remember them ever having American style kids food though. They do have cheese and chicken quesidillas which are very mild.

My kids love steak, and there is steak on the children's menu at Le Cellier, so they were very happy.

We've eaten at San Angel Inn twice and Le Cellier once. My DGD8 had chicken strips at Le Cellier and liked them. Both times at SAI, she had the cheese quesidilla(sp) and loves it. The first time I told her it was like a grilled cheese but on a soft taco shell so she could relate to what it was. As far as atmosphere, she loves SAI, but was only indifferent to LC.

My kids have dined at both and San Angel is a must do. They love he atmosphere and the food.
