DH and I are headed to Disney alone this September for our 10th anniversary. This is our first trip without the kids and I want it to be very special.

So far, I have the following restaurants booked:
  • Narcoossee's
  • CA Grill
  • Coral Reef (w/ diver!!!)
  • Jiko's
  • Le Cellier
  • null

I've been reading so many bad reviews lately for Le Cellier, however, that I'm thinking about changing to Raglan Road. I have Le Cellier for our last night and I'm wondering if it would be better to go to DTD and relax our last evening and just have fun! I have eaten at Raglan Road before and LOVED it, but DH never has and neither one of us have ever eaten at any of the above restaurants . . .

What do you think?

The big draw on Le Cellier is that the restaurant is so small, it is hard to get reservations there. The food is pretty good, the atmosphere somehwat unique and the service we have experienced has been good to great. Raglan Road - as you know - is a very lively atmosphere at night and I find the food to be good there as well. Seeing as it is your last night, you may want to base your choice on what you feel like doing after dinner. Is it touring EPCOT and watching Illuminations or walking/shopping at downtown with a late night at the Adventurer's Club? My opinion is that food quality is rather comperable between Le Cellier and Raglan Road, so I would try to predict what you want to have. Of course, if you haven't made ADRs yet, you are not going to get Le Cellier anyway and thus the decision is already made for you. However, I think I remember you saying that you had booked it and that neither of you has experienced it before - based on that, I'd say stick with Le Cellier. Most of the "negative" reviews are from people who are resistant to change on the menus.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a magical Anniversary.

I'd get rid of Coral Reef and do both Raglan and Cellier, but I see you are having a diver and that sounds cool. Note: at Raglan Road if you tell them it is a special event you and your husband may get the special table (big comfie chairs in front on the fire place). Ask for them if you go!

Have fun!

Raglan Road is a must for us, the ONLY restaurant we return to every visit. We love the adult atmosphere at night with the entertainment - not to mention the Guiness!

We are not LeCellier fans.

Where do you want to spend your last evening? That's how I would decide.

We were at LeCellier this past Wednesday and will probably not go back. I order my filet medium rare and with no mushrooms. I was offered a mushroom-free sauce which I accepted. The filet was well done and plain, no sauce at all. So I turned it back only to get a very rare, still mooing, piece of meat with mushroom sauce. By this time the rest of my family was finished eating so I ate the mashed potatoes and that was about it. We didn't even get the dessert with the DDP because we were quite frustrated. We love change so that was not our reason for not liking the experience, in fact, we had never been there before.

On the other hand I will definitely keep Narcoosee's on the list. We were there for DHs birthday on Monday and the Surf and Turf was outstanding. Everything about the meal was outstanding.

Have you tried the restaurant in Italy (Tutto ?). The service and food were impeccable. We didn't have an ADR but they were able to accommodate us the same evening. Even though we had the dining plan this was not on the agenda and we paid cash, less the DDE discount. It was worth every penny.

I'd probably vote for Le Cellier if you already have the ADR and you haven't been there before. It is just so hard to get into and we had an excellent meal there. Tried going back in Sept also but it was booked solid. :(

We also love Raglan Road. What does the "null" stand for in your post? If it's a spot you haven't filled yet, why not put Raglan Road there and do both?

Honestly I'd pick Raglan Road over Le Cellier. I enjoyed meals at both, but the tables are so close together at Le Cellier I found it uncomfortable. At Raglan we got a fantastic table for 2 next to a fireplace, with big armchair style chairs. And the bread and butter pudding there is to die for.

another vote for sticking with Raglan Road. I usually advocate choosing the restaurant you've never been to over one you have, but we went to both restaurants last trip and preferred Raglan Road, both in terms of food and experience. If you think you'd want to relax your last night, I'd have a hard time recommending Le Cellier. The tables are jammed so close together it's hard to have a really relaxing meal there.

We have been to both and preferred Raglan Road over Le Cellier.:thumbsup2

However, as you haven't been I think you should give Le Cellier a go. I firmly believe in finding out for yourself. If you never go you will never know what its like.

What one person loves another will hate.::yes::

I'm another one who prefers Raglan Road to Le Cellier, but like some of the previous posters said, it really is a matter of what kind of environment you're looking for. I personally enjoy the atmosphere in Raglan Road - especially the live band. Le Cellier used to offer a more sedate, quiet dining environment (many years ago), but I agree that it is more crowded and less intimate now. Either way, enjoy your trip!

This is just a personal opinion, but I like Raglan Road and think Le Cellier is way overrated. Not that it's bad, just overrated.

If you are looking for quiet and relaxation, Raglan Road also has some close tables, although in a far more spacious room, plus they have live entertainment that can be loud. Fun, but loud.

I will be honest, my last two experiences with LeCellier were just so so... I am not in a hurry to go back again. I think the "Success" has lead to so so food and service

I did enjoy Raglan Road.
