Which one would you pick?? I went to Coral Reef last September and had the best steak ever. I have heard good things about Le Cellier, but between those two, which would you pick??

Hard choice as we love them both and have had great meals at each. Strictly for food, I would go with Le Cellier. For a fun atmosphere, especially with kids, I would choose Coral Reef.

IMHO there is no comparison as far as the food goes.

I have been to both several times and Le Cellier is much more superior as far as food. I do like the atmosphere at Coral Reef, but the food never knocked my socks off.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't dislike the food at Coral Reef I just wasn't overly impressed. As far as Le Cellier goes, I have always been totally impressed with their food.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Coral Reef a 5 and Le Cellier a 10.

Both are very good, but there are more beef/steak options at Le Cellier.

They are both good it's just that LC is sooooo hard to get.

If you want a great steak....I would deff say Le Cellier! We go every year! It's Dopey's fav resturant!

I personally like LeCellier better for the food. We have an upcoming trip in August and could not get a reservation for any of the days in LeCellier for lunch or dinner for any of the days we are there. I said I would take any day any time, that is how much we like it...but :sad2: there was not one opening. So we decided to go to the Coral Reef instead, which we like also, but not as much.

Wow, hard choice. I'd go to Coral Reef for atmosphere or Le Cellier for food quality. We love them both, but if we were forced to choose we'd pick Le Cellier based on the kids meals. It is one of the few places where you can get a kids steak.

I would def go to Le Cellier. They're food is amazing! I like eating there for lunch. Its the same as the dinner menu, but a lot cheaper.

Le Cellier has great steaks and if you have already tried Coral Reef give Le Cellier a try.

can you usually get a ressie at le cellier booking well in advance? is it just impossible to get a ressie in august due to free dining?

I might be jinxing myself here, but I've never had a problem. I do call on the 180 mark (or if I have resort ressies the +10), and we do late lunch.

Well, I have been a very vocal supporter of LeCellier in the past. I had it booked for my Sept trip. My family loves it there. But, when they took away my favoriter filet, and the potatoes that we loved, I canceled my ADR there and made one at Coral Reef. I loved the steak I got at Coral Reef and my dh loved the fish he had there, so we're all happy. Even dd liked the steak at Coral Reef.
Not sure why all the menu changes but it isn't a good thing. It's getting so that all the restaurants are almost the same..just a different atmosphere. It's like going to a value resort...they are the same with different theming..same thing with the mods and deluxes. It's just the atmosphere that is different.
I guess LeCellier is still good. But if I have to come up with a second choice when I'm ordering, at those prices I'll go elsewhere.

A vote For Coral Reef!!!
The atmosphere and the food are both super duper!!!

Le Cellier is lovely and the food is awesome- but Coral Reef is a must do for me and the DH.:lovestruc

I have never been to Le Cellier, but I will put in a good remark about Coral Reef! I've always had wonderful food there, and of course, the atmosphere is amazing. Also, I've always gone for lunch so that it's a bit less expensive.

But all these positive comments are making me think I need to try Le Cellier next time! I've also heard good things about a Cheese Soup there?
