Okay, first let me say that I'm driving myself CRAZY thinking and rethinking my ADRs for our October trip. :scared1:

DH and I promised ourselves that we were going to try new restaurants this trip. But when I booked our ADR for our Epcot day, I found a lunch res. for Le Cellier (which we've been to before and LOVED), and I caved and made the ADR.

Now I'm second guessing myself again. I really want to try Chefs.

So tell me...which would you pick, and why?

TIA

You both promised to try new things, and you really wanted to try Chefs? Well thats a no brainer then. I say go for Chefs!!!!!! :thumbsup2 ....particularly since you've already been to Le Cellier before. I personally do not like Le Cellier or their steak. So naturally i'd recommend other places besides Le Cellier :lmao:....but to be honest I get bored of the same old which is why I always like trying new things, and I encourage others to do the same. You just might find a new favourite place! I say try something new and go to Chefs. ;)

I would do Chefs for lunch partially because it wouldn't be as heavy, and also because I prefer the menu choices there. We love their flatbread that has creme fraiche (sp?), carmelized onion, and some kind of bacon. Le Cellier was really good, but for lunch, I'd pick Chefs.

The kids love it there too.

I have not eaten at Le Cellier - although from browsing on here, the majority seems to love it. I tried to get an ADR for our August trip - no lunch, or dinner ADR's available for our ten day trip, made me want to eat there even more!! However, we did eat at Le Chef's De France last year in August, it was good, I had the Demi Poulet Fermier roti, pommes rissolees et tomate grilled (basically roasted chicken with different colored potatoes and grilled tomatoes). It was good, but I just felt I could get the same thing somewhere else. DP had Gratin de macaroni, basically to me just a 'dressed up' macaroni and cheese, I tried it and it tasted rather bland to me. So for me, I would definitely choose Le Cellier over Le Chef's. But everyone has different taste buds and preferences. I enjoyed the experience of the French styled restaurant and our waiter with an accent. Check out the menu's if you haven't already. I think we would have ordered differently if we would have been on the DDP, but we were paying OOP so I picked the safest and cheapest dish. Whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy it!!

I think Les Chefs has really gone downhill over the last few years. The menu has lost a lot of what made it special, and I think quality isn't as high as it was.

I've had my good and bad meals at Le Cellier, but most of my recent meals have been good. I think Le Cellier is one of the best theme park restaurants in terms of food (up there with Brown Derby), so that would be my pick.

I was truly underwhelmed by Le Cellier. We really enjoy Les Chefs.

Since you've already said you wanted to try something new go ahead and give Les Chefs a try. You may really enjoy it.

We really enjoy both so we always end up with a lunch at each .... but then we spend most of our time at Epcot. I've been known to spend the day just listening to all the music.

I too would suggest you try Chefs rather than Le-Cellier, :rotfl2: (this is my thoughts on Le-Cellier)
Have you thought about the Rose and crown?

Also the fish place next to rose and crown have excellent fish, makes for a great lunch.

I was in the same boat, so I just changed my ressie to Chefs for lunch and Le Cellier for dinner. This way I could try both.

Having eaten at both i can say without question that le cellier was out favourite meal and chefs was our least favourite and at the top of our never return list. At le cellier my wife had a pesto pasta dish, i had the prime rib, my father had a bone in chop of some sort and my mom had the mushroom filet. All was great. At chefs my wife had the salmon which was just ok, i had the duck which i swear was cooked in the microwave and was the worst dish i have ever eaten at disney just because of how it was prepared (i am sure it had potential to be good if cooked with care), and my parents both had the filet which they said was bland and unimpressive. Also our server made sure to point out the tip area on the bill multiple times and only stopped when i told him i was leaving cash for the tip as went werent charging on our kttw. We were sad when le cellier went to two credits

It's not 2 credits for lunch, and lunch has many of the same dishes. :)
