Le Cellier or Biergarten?

So, my family and I are going to WDW in August (I know, kinda soon) and we're trying to decide what to do for our Epcot dinner. My parents and I aren't picky eaters, but my brother (who is autistic) is pretty picky. He'll eat anything that doesn't have a lot of onions, peppers, etc. in it, so it seems like either Biergarten or Le Cellier would be the best option. We've done Biergarten once and we all enjoyed but we're just not quite sure. Opinions?

At this point it would take some serious Disney magic to get into Le Cellier. You could always try, but don't hold your breathe. I think you should be able to still get into Biergarten, but even that is iffy. Good luck and call ASAP.

I haven't been to La Cellier but I absolutely LOVE the biergarten! I obviously cannot compare the two, but cannot see one of my Disney trips without eating at the Biergarten.

This question is better suited for the restaurants boards, you might get some better responses over there :thumbsup2

I agree, you will probably have a hard time getting ressies at Le Cellier.

I was going to say book both but with you being so close to your dates Le may be full on your dates. Good luck and have a great trip.

My DS (13 years old) has Asperger's Syndrome, a type of Autism. He enjoyed Coral Reef. He ordered the pizza from the kids menu. But he did try my steak and DBF's chicken and liked both. So that may be worth a shot too. Oh and he also really liked Teppan Edo in Japan. So those might be options for you too.

I would definitely vote for Le Cellier over Biergarten. But...unless you already have ADRs, you likely won't get into Le Cellier.

That said...Biergarten is still a great restaurant. The entertainment is fun, and it can be interesting sitting with others. The people we were closest to when we went were not interested in having a conversation with the rest of the table, though.

You can't go wrong with any of the epcot restaurants.... I can't say anything about France..(that's the only one we haven't done)... but You may actually like having a meal in Italy.... generally everyone likes Italian food... Biergarten is my (5 year old son's FAVORITE).... he likes the dancing etc. But chances are you won't get a ressie for Le Cellier anyway... that books up 90 days in advance...

We like them both but Beirgarten is very good, great dancing, music and atmosphere..I can get a great filet anywhere but it is hard to find yummy German food

We went to Le Cellier on our last trip (May 30-June 7),
and we weren't all too impressed with all the hype we were told.
Don't get me wrong, the food was great, but it really wasn't worth the trials and anguish to try to get an ADR there.

LC is really good but I doubt you will get in there now. Since it's so hard to get into this resturant. Heard all good about Biergarten.

Thanks all so much! We're probably going to do Biergarten, as it has kind of something for all of us. I figured Le Cellier would be booked, but it's kind of a last minute thing.

I've eaten at both. It's hard to decide which one is better.. Le Cellier is a nice restaurant for steak. I think Biergarten has the better atmosphere and I love the entertainment. If you can't find a Le Cellier ADR (one of the hardest ones to find!) then don't worry and enjoy Biergarten. :)

Le Cellier is certainly much better but here is an idea I have mentioned here many times before;
Eat anywhere else and then go over to Germany and say you just want to see the show. They will seat you over top left area immediately. It is still a good seat, you still see the show, you can still do the Chicken Dance and have fun.

If you are paying OOP, I would vote for the Biergarten. If not, I would say either. They are both really good. We also liked Tutto Itlalia and it was not spicy at all. Debby

Both are very good...but I'm leaning towards Biergarten. I'm a little over Le Cellier lol. Never thought I would say that.

Never been to Le Cellier, but we ate at Biergarten and it was excellent! We are definitely going there again on our next trip! We MAY try for Le Cellier for a different night, but not sure...have to talk to DH first. But if we can't get an ADR for LC, I won't worry either. We will just go to a different restaurant in the WS. Like another poster said, it is not easy to get really good German food but it is easy to find a good filet usually. And the Biergarten also has pretzel bread (excellent!), some people rave about the pretzel bread at Le Cellier.

Le Cellier all the way!

I'll wave my magic wand :wizard: so you can get a reservation there, as it will probably be impossible without my help. :lmao:
