hi there n. no dining plan involved..

do you guys think its worth the money to have lunch at Le Cellier??
I say lunch because I assume I would be paying more for the similar food at dinner time..... just wondering for you guys that have been there would you pay OOP to eat lunch at le cellier??? (for those that enjoy le cellier type of food)
for sure those that don't like the food there would not go and pay OOP.....
so just asking those that do enjoy their food. thanks !

Our last trip we had lunch at Le Cellier and it cost us $120.00. That was for 1 soup. 1 app , 2 entrees, no desert and no alcohol at all. So still quite an expensive lunch....but I believe it was well worth it!

wow.. thanks for your actual numbers.. it really puts things into perspective , which is why I love the dis !.

We had lunch there last month OOP. There were 4 of us and the total with tip was $162

3 had the lunch where you get an appetizer, entree and dessert included. I think you save a few bucks there. There were I think like 5 or 6 choices, of course not the steaks. I had an entree and shared with the others.

What we found out is that the burger they have is like the best burger ever, like anywhere. Our daughters got that and they are 14 and 17 and could have shared the bowl of soup, burger and fries and the creme brulee they each got. It was too much.

My husband got some steak skillet thing and he thought the steak was good but the potatoes in it were like boxed hash browns, but he loved the arugula salad that came with it.

I got the filet subsituting cream cheese mashed potatoes and it was wonderful

We really liked it and will go back for lunch. Just will have the girls share the burger, soup and dessert next time

Yes! :thumbsup2
DH & I ate there for lunch in may..we paid OOP and LOVED it! popcorn::
I had the burger ,he had the filet...Oh man, now I am drooling...:rotfl2:

I always pay OOP for lunch there (first, I don't do the dining plan - and second, all I want is the soup and the mussels. That looks not so expensive but throw in a couple of beers and up it goes)

Only with the more expensive entrees. If you go for the cheaper entrees like gnocchi or chicken, make sure you add up what you're buying a la carte before you order the prix fixe. You might find that the prix fixe is more expensive. It exists to tempt dining plan guests to order cheaper entrees, so if you're paying OOP be sure you can't get the same thing a little cheaper by ordering it a la carte.

We ate lunch there OOP and loved it. We aren't really steak people, but really enjoyed the chicken crepe, burgers, soup, muchroom risotto, and bread. It was one of our favorite meals and we are doing it again in January.

I think lunch is well worth the cost. I had a really good steak sandwich the last time I had lunch there, and I think it was under $15, which by Disney standards is pretty cheap for TS. Also, try the cheddar cheese soup if you get a chance, that is the best soup ever!

We ve booked an adr at Le Cellier for lunch, i ve always wanted to eat here so am very excited to finally get the chance to try the famous soup & have a Mousse for dessert :goodvibes
I ve just checked a recent menu & the only item on there my dh will eat is the Burger
Can anyone let me know if their burgers are any good?

Thankyou ;)

We paid oop for lunch and neither my daughter nor I thought it was worth the price or the quality of food. That being said, we could have had an off visit because I know a lot of people really do love the place. It just seemed like a basic, run of the mill, chain steak house.

I so agree with you on this! :thumbsup2

We try to do this on every trip and will be doing it again in August. We love the mushroom filet, which is on the lunch menu and less expensive than dinner. Looking forward to using my TIW to offset at least some of the price this year.

Our family of 4 did the Prix Fixe menu which includes appetizer, entree, and dessert. We only ordered two of the Prix Fixe specials: my daughter and I only wanted the soup and pretzel bread, DH and DS had the entrees (DS loved the burger BTW) and we all split the 2 desserts. It was more than enough food for us!

We went on a whim one year a few trips back and have been back every trip since! My mom and I always split the burger and fries- best burger we've ever had and it's more than filling for the two of us! Saves room for a dessert in France later on in the day too ;)

My dad got the 3 course meal and said it was way too much food for him to eat on his own- we had to help with dessert and the appetizer.

We definitely think it's worth it. My grandfather even said that since he didnt' go with us this year, he really missed out on lunch at Canada. I'd definitely say go for lunch- more different types of selections and the prices for everything seem much cheaper than at dinner for the same meal.

Make sure to save room for the pretzel bread too! I could make an entire meal out of that! Yum!

We paid OOP for lunch in March. It was expensive..... we had appetizers, steaks and a beer each.... no dessert and the boys each got a kid's meal. We enjoyed our lunch there.

While it is not a "must do" each trip....... Chef's de France for lunch got that honor last trip...... we would definitely go back to LC in the future.

I have to admit that I've never paid OOP for Le Cellier because I've only gone there using the dining plan. I plan to go there again on my next trip using the dining plan, however we're going on a Disney cruise in January and we will be adding on two days at Disney. On that trip I do plan to go to LC and pay OOP - I think it's that good!! My 12 year old DD got a huge NY strip there last time and ate the whole thing and she can't wait to go back. I love the filet! LC is a must do for us. :cool1:

We ate at LC for lunch in May. The boys had the steak sandwiches and I had the soup. Everything was very good....it really wasn't any more expensive than any other restaurant for lunch.:thumbsup2

I like the type of food they serve.

The quality, service etc... are just not worth the prices they charge. I won't waste my money again!

LC is a must do for our family. We ate there in May, but were using the dining plan. We each (all 4 of us) got an appetizer, drink, entree and desert. We all got the filets for lunch - they were the best steaks we had the whole 2 weeks we were at Disney, and we ate alot of steaks! Our bill for the 4 of us was about $220, without tip.
