Le Cellier menu change?

My husband was browsing thru menus and noticed that his favorite mushroom filet is not on the menu for dinner. It says updated 4/07 on this site, but it is still on allears.net. Does anyone know. We are to make adrs soon and this is a meal he has talked about since our last visit in 12/06 as his most memorable.

From what I've read here on the DIS, the mushroom filet IS gone. It was my best meal of my trip last year and I was really looking forward to it this year. Deb's site doesn't have the most recent menu - wdwinfo's has one from April of this year.

I think it really stinks. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The lunch menu definitely changed, as they no longer offer the beef tenderloin salad. There is an Asian beef salad, but it doesn't appeal to me.

The mushroom filet is definitely still on the menu. I had it last Thursday. They told us that they recently just updated their menu, but it was still there. It was yummy too! So don't worry, you can still get it.

We were told by our waiter during a visit in January that if something is off the menu - ask. They may still make it, it just didn't fit on the menu. Weird, huh?

SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!? curiouser, you may have just become my new DIS best friend! I'd be thrilled to find that dish on the menu in 5 weeks.

Redwitch, I'm glad you brought that up. I was going to ask if we could request a meal that may not currently be ON the menu but was on it at one time.

This has just made my night!

No you cannot. I was there in Feb and DH was able to get the Maple BBQ filet but the server said they did not have the risotto or the parsnips prepared for lunch service

Is there an actual steak you can get on the lunch menu or is it just tidbits...and that sort of thing...guess I'll have to check that out. I know my husband was looking foward to getting an actual steak.

There is the petite filet with a veal demi glaze...DH substituted the glaze for the BBQ.

I had the beef tips with udon noodles and there was more beef in my dish that DH filet!

Thank you from us too. It was a highlight of our last trip and we have been looking forward to it again. We are going to try a few new places in Dec 07 but Le Cellier is a must do again.

I ate there Sunday night, it was there. The whole experience was wonderful actually, so even if it wasn't there - there are lots of delicious items on their menu.

Love the filet with mushrooms, too and am looking forward to our next trip there in October...have been telling my sister about it since she loves steak so much.
