There was a thread the other day that said LC will be going signature for lunch soon. I need to make ADRs Sunday. I had every intention of booking LC for lunch. We prefer CS dinner as we wander the WS.
So, I need a back up. The poster w/the info on the other thread was a CM; said once it kicks up to 2 TS, it's 2 TS, no matter what it was when I booked.
I dislike double booking. But I'm concerned I really have no choice? Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas?
I had considered booking LC for lunch and a different dinner and I suppose that's an option. But, I really prefer CS dinner in EC.
Thanks!

When Le Cellier became a sig for dinner, Disney made the announcement 7 months in advance and noted it on the LeC dining reservation page so that people were aware of it before their 180 day mark. Hopefuly they will do the same for lunch. :confused3

Thanks. It seemed that there should be an advanced warning. I think I'm going to go ahead and set it. I'm still trying to decide if I should have a back up plan.
Thanks!

Do you have the link to the thread? I must have missed it, but I'm very interested in reading up on it.

ETA: Never mind. Just found it. This is NOT good news!

I'm looking for that thread also, can anyone tell me where to find it? thanks

To my knowledge Disney has made no announcements that Le Cellier will be signature for lunch and I don't even remember seeing a thread that said so.

At any rate, one thread that claims to be from a cast member does not an official announcement from Disney make.

The thread was earlier this week. OP stated surprise at being able to get an ADR at LC in just a few months. There were a few comments as to why this might be.

I don't consider a comment from someone on the boards claiming CM status to be official notification. My concern was how far in advance does Disney make it official? Is it likely I would make an AST at 180 days and, at some point prior to my ADR, LC lunch becomes 2 TS? What is my position then?

Thanks for the input all!

ADR not AST! Lol!
Using eTicket app - can't scroll down to edit! ;-)

Haven't been able to locate this post. Can I get a link to it?

I see - we still can't assume it is going to happen based solely on this poster's assertions.

They assert that Disney can and will make the switch at any time with minimal notice, but that is not something Disney has done before. The original dinner switch had at least 7 months notice.

That makes a lot more sense. I'm sure they can do what they want but I'd really expect a little warning. I'm going to plan on LC for lunch and just hope it works out.
Thanks!

That's what I was thinking!

:)Lunch ADR coming up in May, and while I am not really worried about it, I guess we will see then... on another note though, if and when it becomes a Sig for Lunch too, it will be the end of our visits there. While the food is good, it just don't do it for us compared to let's say Yachtsman!

Same for us. It's good, but it's not all that.
