We have reservations for both, but I'm going to cancel one. Lunch at 11:45 or dinner at 6:15? Our choices are on both menus. I'm thinking lunch might be a bit quieter than dinner since our reservations are for a Friday of F&W. Which would you choose?

lunch has most of the same options yet has somewhat lower prices. i love doing places like this for lunch then doing just a quick bite later in the evening.

We have ate both the lunch portions are a little smaller but I can actually eat it all Unless you are big eaters or there is something you want on dinner menu I would do lunch it is also slightly cheaper

I've been there for dinner twice and lunch once. For some reason, our experience at dinner was better. I don't know if it was because of the cook on duty at the time, or what.

I thought that I read somewhere that they were now charging 2 dining credits at Le Cellier now for dinner. If so, we will be going for lunch for sure.

I've eaten at Le Cellier for both lunch and dinner. The lunch portions are smaller (for the items that are on both menus) - which was a better size for me. However, some of the items that we liked best are only on the dinner menu.

We didn't really notice much of difference in terms of noise and how busy the resturant is between lunch and dinner. The F&W crowds didn't impacted our dining experience.

2 dining credits start in March...

I've only had dinner there and LOVED it... so for that reason I vote DINNER...

(OR any meal as long as you can get Cheese SOup and Mushroom filet!)

Hugs,
Mary

DD(10) and I just ate lunch there this past Thursday.:goodvibes We both got the filet, and did not see much difference in menus b/w lunch and dinner, except prices. We like to eat a big lunch while at WDW, since we often change our plans at night. I would recommend lunch, unless you are on DDP. :thumbsup2

Next year. It's still only 1 TS til then.

We have eaten at both lunch and dinner at Le Cellier and still love to eat dinner. We once had lunch with 2 adults and 2 kids (under 9) and the bill was still over $150:scared1:. Dinner last time for DW and I was $108:eek:. Still good food.

I still don't see why it's going to be a 2 TS meal though.

I won't eat at Le Cellier at 6:15pm. It's too noisy, chaotic and on 2 such occasions, my soup, appetizer and entre came all at the same time. I make resv. at Le Cellier no earlier than 7:45pm, I've found this to be the time when I can enjoy my meal and not feel rushed, 8:15 is even better and a little quieter!

Agreed, 2 TS is a bit over the top...I mean it's good, but not THAT good.
We go next week, my DH loves the place, I like it too, but this will be our last time...if I do 2 TS's it's going to be elsewhere....

I don't really understand either.

Honestly, I didn't think it was that great. I liked the mushroom risotto and that was about it. I did not enjoy the atmosphere or the service. Everyone in our party left saying it was "okay" and definitely the bottom two of our 10 night trip. No one could eat the desserts. The only thing anyone enjoyed was the pretzel bread but our server was so ridiculous about giving us any bread that we just gave up. (She would only give 3 breadsticks to a table of 7 :confused3)

I guess I'm glad we tried it, but I honestly don't see us going back especially if we were on the dining plan and it was going to cost two credits.

Well they are changing the menu when it goes 2 credits..and will be a 'signature restaurant'..which given the size (small) I think it should have always been!!!!!

Hi, I have been up since 3 this morning to make ADR's for a May 2011 trip. The system would not let me go past day 1 so waited until 4 to call and waited 35 minutes to talk to a great CM who was able to help me with all of our days. I reserved Le Cellier for 1:20 as I only wanted to use 1 TS credit as oppossed to 2 for dinner. I just got off the phone again to confirm this and the CM told me lunch was also 2 credits. I don't want to wait on the phone again this morning, does anyone know if lunch is also changing? If so I need to change it as we don't have any more credits to use and not everyone in the group wants to use 2 credits for 1 meal. Thanks for any help!:surfweb:

One thing that really makes or breaks Le Cellier in my opinion is the wait staff. On a couple of occasions we've had a waiter that was overwelmed or a waitress that had an attitude about what we ordered and that kind of sets the tone of the meal! There is positively no reason not to have enough bread for the entire table and by the way if we need more, please bring it!

The food IMO is really good!, we pay OOP when we go so if 1TS or 2 makes no difference, but I still wouldn't eat there before 8pm!

Lunch will be 1 credit..at least at the beginning. Whether or not that changes???:confused3

Lunch definitely...especially if what you want to eat is offered at both lunch and dinner. We prefer lunch since it's usually the same food as dinner but cheaper. We've had lunch at Le Cellier a few times and have always enjoyed it.
