Le Cellier-Lunch or Dinner?

Has anyone eaten at Le Cellier for both lunch and dinner? We would really like to eat there for dinner but have been unable to get an ADR on the day we need. We were able to get a lunch ADR though. I checked the menus and they seem to be pretty similar. So my question is how are the portion sizes at lunch? Are they much smaller than dinner? I never thought the dinner portions were that big so if the lunch are smaller I'm not sure it would be worth it.

I have eaten there for both - I don't recall the portions being any smaller. But I have a hard time finishing any meal at a sit down restaurant, so I'm not sure that I'd notice (to be fair.)

The menus are more similar now than they used to be, I think. I don't remember the mushroom filet being on the lunch menu when I ate there.

BTW - I'm in the same boat as you for our trip in November - no luck getting a dinner reservation (well, it IS for 8 people), but got a lunch - we're going with it b/c Le Cellier is my husband's FAVORITE place to eat.

I have done both but NOT the same trip. We prefer lunch now, its less hectic, same good food and less rushed. We did dinner the first 2 times but tried lunch and have stuck to it since!

I've been to both lunch and dinner and had the mushroom filet at both (yummy) - I'd go to which ever one I can get a reservation for - going this Dec. and hoping to eat there - would prefer lunch this trip to leave the nights open for the lights or Candlelight -

We couldn't get dinner so we're going at lunch time. I've heard so much about LeCellier I can't wait to try it!

Ditto. I would happily take lunch if I couldn't get dinner. I did take the lunch, but then I found an open dinner ADR on a different day. That's what I would do - take the lunch and then keep checking.
