Le Cellier - keep checking for a cancelation, hopeless?

I booked it anyway as four people. It's rediculous that they can turn away someone looking almost months out, because they want to hold off on tables they can cram together. What's the worst that can happen? I highly doubt I won't be seated because of a 'mix up'. :woohoo:

Welcome Home. And THANK YOU for your service.:yay:

Another vote to keep looking. As others mentioned, the closer you get to your trip, the more that start to open up. When we went last year, we also had a hard time getting some of the reservations we wanted. I kept checking and eventually landed up with everything we wanted.

Keep checking!

I was a bad planner this year. We arrive on August 12, and I hadn't made any ADR's as of Monday. I wasn't optimistic, as you can imagine. However, I pretty much got everything we wanted, including a 4:00 dinner reservation for our party of 5 at Le Cellier on August 14. Try different days and input different times (i.e. 1:00, 2:00 3:00...even though checking 1:00 says it checks from 11:00 to 3:00), as you never know.

Good luck.

We have been unable to get ADRs at times, but have been successful at being seated if we were the first ones to reach the podium when they opened up for lunch. Always seems to be some no-shows.

This past February during President's week, I was able to get a dinner reservation while on vacation! If you have access to the internet I would say to keep on trying even on vacation. You never know when someone is going to cancel.

You could always make some friends if you see a couple turned away at the podium and you don't mind sharing your table for four!

Persistence pays! I've been trying for weeks to get an ADR at Le Cellier for dinner the week after Christmas. Two of us have been trying several times a day with no luck and then, just a few minutes ago, got an ADR for 6 people at 5:30 on December 29. The time is ideal for us because our only other scheduled meal that day is breakfast and we will be hungry by then.

I do have a question, though. That particular day (December 29) we have an ADR for breakfast scheduled at AK. Since the Le Cellier reservation is for 5:30 at Epcot, do you think there will be any trouble getting into Epcot in the late afternoon?

I've never been to WDW during the holidays, so don't know what to expect in regard to crowds, later park admittance, etc.

Thanks!

I think you will be fine. Epcot is a big park. Get there a little early if you can. We have APs and usually stay at BWV. We often go over to Epcot in the late afternoon/evening, even just for an hour or so. We have never been turned away, even during the Christmas holiday.

Whew! Thanks for letting me new what to expect.

October 13th - 18th, I can't wait!

There is an opening Monday, Oct 17. I just xcl'd a party of 4 for 2:05 pm
+ I saw an 11'sh on the same day.

We r a party of 7, we were all ready to go to Epcot Tuesday, 10/18, managed to get 2 separate reservations for parties of 3&4, 5 min's apart at 2:05 & 2:10, then WDW changed their Epcot Magic hours around on us and messed up our whole schedule, ugh. Now we are going to to Epcot on Thursday the 20th. So I keep checking the 20th daily (lunch hours, not dinner as that is double on the dining plan) and zilch. This is the last detail we need to work out, we may buy an extra 1 day ticket for Epcot on Tuesday just to go to Le Cellier but would rather xcl those & get in on Thursday. (BTW - we can't just add a day to our tickets, they are the Military 4-day tickets and cannot be upgraded to 5).

Does anyone have res for lunch on Thursday that they want to swap for my Tuesday, is that even possible?

Just back and saw 2 parties of 2 walk up and get seated .Both stated didnt have ADR's this was on 9/9 around 11:30 am. So I guess it doesnt hurt to check when your there. Im not sure how long they waited for a table but they didnt get turned away.

What's the best way to search? I've been doing everyday of my trip for 1:30PM, 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM. Since it searches 2 hr +/-, I figured those 3 times would cover all slots. Am I correct?

thanx
Mark

Also, if you still have problems, try the concierge desk in your hotel. Last year I messed up our res for Chef Mickeys = booked it for the night we flew home instead of our last night on property!! Only realised the day before and the CM managed to get us a seating on the evening we wanted - we couldn't get anything when we tried by phone.

I'm a party of one and keep checking. There's party of three reservations free. Do you think it's too selfish to take a table of three reservation?

Meh, should I just try walking up at 11am a couple of times to see if there's anything free? I really want to try Le Cellier!

I think you'll be fine showing up with just 2 but if you are worried, you can call the Disney Dining number and tell them you want to modify your reservation for only 2. They'll change it no problem and you still keep the same confirmation number. I did that once when I could only find an ADR for 5and called to see if they could reserve it for 4. She reserved it for 5 then turned around and modified it - no problem :thumbsup2

I'm in a similar situation...I'm looking for a Le Cellier lunch for 09/27...hopefully something opens up in the next 2 weeks
