Le Cellier...is it worth it?

Agree with this. We've never had a bad experience or meal at LC. Also agree that it seems that more people are bowed up about it going to 2 credits rather than the quality of the food. I never ate there before the change, so I don't have that particular bias working against LC for me. Is it the greatest meal I've ever eaten? Nope, but it's a high quality meal without having to leave the park.

We never ate there before either. 2010 was the first time and every year since. We've always booked with free dining so I don't reall pay attention to the price. The 2 credits don't really mean much to me. There is typically 1 or 2 meals we have that aren't on the DP anyway, so I don't really care about the credits.

The bottom line is that everything is overpriced at WDW so why get so worked up about one place? I can either afford to go to WDW and do the things I want to do or I can't afford to go. I refuse to get worked up about a few bucks where my vacation time is concerned.

We don't get the meal plan, so we were not concerned about the credits. We just though Yachtsman's steak was far better in taste. Plus we liked the distance between the tables and the open atmosphere.

Of course, these restaurants are all based on personal preference. LC still wins hands down when compared to places like Longhorn steakhouse.

Is the Yachtsman signature dining? Whereabouts is it located? I've been to Le Cellier and LOVED it, but if i can get a good steak for only 1 dining plan credit instead of the 2 at LC then it's a no brainer.

the meal was wonderful but once was enough. I never like paying a whole lot for meat over and above what I know it costs at my grocery store...

I don't think Le Cellier is worth it. If you've already been, I'd go with Yachtsman instead. While this is all subjective, we found the quality and service to be significantly better at Yachtsman. Now Shula's is probably the best steak option, but we usually skip it at WDW b/c it's not unique to WDW. i.e. I can get that experience elsewhere.

Yachtsman is signature and is in Yacht Club.

Le Cellier has been a favorite whipping boy on DIS since it went to 2 TS credits on the DDP. Everytime someone makes one of these threads it gets bashed.

For our family Le Cellier is the biggest must do dining experience of every trip. Everyone wants to know when our LC ADR is. It's the one meal everyone looks forward to and enjoy's the most every trip.

Let me start by saying I am glad that you and your family love Le Cellier and it is a must do for you. This is an excellent example of why there are so many different restaurants and so many opinions. I myself enjoy a few that receive neutral reviews in Tokyo Dining and San Angel Inn.

But with all that said, I believe Le Cellier deserves every bit of being a whipping boy. When you increase the prices, go from a 1 TS to a 2TS, change nothing about the decor or the very, very cramped dining room, and lastly but of extreme importance, do virtually nothing at all with the menu. I am perhaps very strong in my anti opinions of Le Cellier based off the horrible service, seating, and what I call a very rather average meal placed in front of us. When I heap praise on breadsticks and soup that is a shame. The praise should be in the steak. Again, this is only my opinion based off of taste and experience and is in no way correct over yours. Enjoy your vacations and meals with your family at Le Cellier. :goodvibes
