I just made adr for Le Cellier in June and the guy that took my adr said that with a party of 5 that it would have to be 2 tables and they should be able to put them together. What does that mean? He made it sound like we may not be able to sit together. I have never eaten here so I do not know the lay out. Can they not seat 5?

If I remember correctly the tables seat 4. So they'll more than likely just push two together. I don't think they'd split up you party.

Oh...have the Cheddar Cheese Soup. It's delicious; even in the warm weather!!!! :thumbsup2

We hope to make ADRs at Le Cellier for August-for a party of nine. Hope we will be able to be seated together?!

thanks. that makes me nervous that they may try to split us up. It is 3 adults and 2 children by the way. If they do try to split us, maybe I can put my mother with the children and my husband and I can eat alone! Just kidding.

The same thing happened to me when I was there in October. When I made the ADR, they put us at two separate tables. When we sat down, they put us next to each other, and we just pushed the tables together. When you check in at the podium, just make sure they know you want your tables together and it shouldn't be a problem!

Unless you REALLY want mom to watch the kids so you and DH can have a romantic night!!! :thumbsup2

Hiya!

Don't be concerned! I used to be an assignor at Le Cellier (the person who decides
where the parties sit) and they would never split a five-person party up. You may have to wait a bit longer to be seated but a party under seven wouldn't be split up.

Does this hold true for most restaurants? We'll be a party of 5 at these places:

Cape May Cafe Buffet
Hollywood and Vine
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon
Boma (party of 7)
San Angel Inn (party of 7)

Do you think they'll split us up? :earsgirl:
