Hello everyone,

Have a 7:10pm dinner reservation coming up on a Saturday in late August and was wondering if you think we will have enough time to get a good spot for illuminations.

2 people using the Deluxe Dinning Plan and plan on ordering appetizers, entree, and desert. Have a general idea of what we want before going and don’t mind getting desert to go or just forgoing it.

PTR is posted too if you’re interested! 8 days club level at Yacht with 42 FP and 16 Table Service.

No. A good spot needs to be staked out at least 30 minutes in advance, imho

Le cellier is notorious for running late. Signature meals take 90 minutes.

Your best bet is to try for an earlier dinner time
Tell your server time is a factor
Ask for bill and pay early
Bridge might be best spot to watch over the crowds, allow enough time to walk to your spot, it will be majorly crowded, being A weekend

I have a similar question is anyone can chime in please...

I have a 6:10 at Le Cellier, party of 3 (Mid Aug - Thursday, if that matters). Will I be able to make River of Light at 8:45 in AK? (We have a car rental)

I think it’s possible, but very tight.

I figure you’ve got to factor in roughly, 15 minutes to get to your car from Le Cellier, 15 minutes to drive to AK and another 15 minutes to go through security/tapstyles and get to Rivers of Light. And I’m not sure how early you’d need to arrive before the start of the show. I’d guess you’d need to leave Le Cellier by 7:45pm at the latest, but probably more like 7:30pm.

Thank you! Ive never driven from EP to AK. Didnt realize it was so far. I was thinking like 5 minutes! I just tried to search for an earlier time at Le Celler but 4:30 was the only time available. We will have tix already for ROL from our breakfasts at Tusker House that morning, but were only planning on staying in AK until around 1 - 2 since I was not able to get a FOP fast pass for that day (wasnt counting on it at my 180 and I was right!) and we are returning to AK a second time towards the end of the trip for FOP and a few more attractions.

This is LeCellier. Based on my sad experiences here (Yes I gave this rip off several opportunities) here's what you can expect

1. They will be VERY far behind in seating you so even though you have a 6:10 or 7:10 or whatever time your reservation is you won't be seated for quite a while. When they do seat you however, you will be seated on top of your neighbors so you can see how their food looks LOL!
2. The server will then be (A) Incredibly slow and non existent (where you wait forever for everything, have to trip someone to get beverage refills and send out a search party for the check) or (B) standing over you going "what do you want to eat" as soon as you sit down, throw the entrée and appetizers on the table at the same time and fly by 10 minutes later saying " you don't want desert" as he throws the check on the table (If you don't get the hint and move a cattle prod will be forthcoming)

And for all of this you will be overcharged and get subpar food! LOL!

Thank you for the advice,

I have decided to trade this reservation with a 5:40pm reservation at Yachtsman instead (we are staying at Yacht) and moved Le Cellier to 5:05pm on are 2nd Epcot day.

Hoping that our bags and room are ready as this is our arrival day and I want to make sure we meet the dress code standards.(Plane lands 9:45am) Was planning on dress shorts and a polo shirt but I suppose that could be our emergency outfit packed in carryon/park bag just in case.

Thanks again,
Zappieo

Our experience is similar to others. They were at least an hour late for our adr and service was very slow. While we enjoyed our food we haven’t been back because of the service and lateness. I would think you won’t make illuminations.
