Hello all.....

Am in the process of finalizing our itinerary for a trip from 12/1-12/8 and have only a few more food holes to fill.

We will be in Epcot on Thursday, 12/6 and will wantto see Illuminaitons that night. Will we have a hard time forst getting an ADR for Le Cellier and if not, how much time should we allow to make sure that we get good pavement for the show afterwards?

I would say, more than likely, it will be impossible for you to get an ADR now for dinner at Le Cellier on that night. One option to consider might be a late lunch, which will give you plenty of time later to secure a good viewing spot for Illuminations.

If you are lucky enough to get an ADR for dinner, you would probably need to allow at least 30 minutes (if not longer) to secure a good viewing position so would need an ADR for no later than 7 pm (depending on how much time you want to take over your meal).

according to the Le Cellier mgr for the evening we walked up to the podium.....Le Cellier is booked up until the first part of January......ALTHOUGH the family in front of us got a walk in because some one cancelled .....we could not however get that lucky and there were no more cancellations UNLESS we wanted to sit there and take a chance........Good luck anyways

30 minutes is more than enough time to get a good spot for Illuminations. Some spots fill up before then, but there are so many good spots around the lagoon, that you don't need to line up so long in advance as you do for some other WDW parades and foreworks. I can often find a good spot as little as 15 minutes before the show.

I just wanted to add that LeCellier will allow you to go watch Illuminations between your meal and dessert (or similar). If you have one of the last seatings, they will accommodate guests' desire to see Illuminations. (At least they have on 3 separate occasions for us. One time we took them up on it; the other two times we didn't.)

Late lunch at LeCellier is a great option. You get to enjoy yourself without stressing about getting out in time for the show.

And also remember that during the holiday time (12/6 is during that time), Illuminations starts at 9:30.

Like Pumba said, LeCellier is booked solid for lunch and dinner for the entire month of December. I've been trying for an ADR for the first week of December for 2 months and no luck. Last time we tried though, we did get a walk up so you never know....
