Le Cellier- how bad is it?

I have read a few posts about the wait at Le Cellier being very long... I am not sure if it is just a select few who have had this experience or everybody. We are going on a Sunday night Sept. 24th. our ADR is at 5:30 with a party of 6. While I would really enjoy eating here I cannot expect my kids to wait an hour to be seated and then sit through an 1.5 hour dinner. Just curious about other peoples experiences... maybe this isn't the place to go with kids. I also don't want to spend 3 hours in a restaurant and miss all of the fun to be had in Epcot. I would rather find this out now and change my ADR rather than getting there and having to leave before we are even seated!!

We didn't wait at all for a party of 5. We had a reservation around 5pm. I would recommend getting there a little early. That might help.

We went in February with a party of 6 ( 4 Adults & 2 kids) we didnt have a wait & we also arrived a few minutes early. The food was delicious...one of the best we had at Disney. The service was awesome. No complaints at all. We will be going back in Feb. 07 and will be going back for sure.

The wait wasn't too bad for us (party of 7). About 20-30 minutes.

The food was good (not great), but the service was poor. The wait staff did not know how to make a manhattan and didn't think they had a large enough bar to do it. WHAT.

Our friends go all the time and thought this was strange (they were the ones ordering the manhattans). Then, they forgot to bring the bread (which is a big deal for most) and they screwed up the order (forgot a meal and we needed to wait).

These types of things happen in restaurants and I don't pass by LeCellier because of it. However, I don't run to it either, because I think WS has many other restaurants.

the whole point of the ADR is so you dont wait, it like a traffic light, its whole purpose is to keep traffic moving. i have never waited more than 10 minutes past my ADR time anywhere, so im not quite sure where you got your info about waiting 1 hour or more. maybe without an ADR????

We had an ADR for around 6:00 and we only waited about 5 minutes past our ADR time. We had excellent service and the food was wonderful. I would keep my ADR if I were you.

I'm with everyone else. We've never waited more 10 minutes with our ADR's and we LOVE Le Cellier. Although we go for lunch so we can have that unbelievable Open Face Sirloin Steak Sandwich!

It's ALWAYS been.......our....favorite....mmmmm.....must....go....NOW!!!

We haven't been yet but will be there in one month. Our first free dining meal on the day we arrive is dinner at LeCellier. Our ADR is for 4:30 so I'm hoping the early time will be helpful with the wait. We will also be there about 15-20 mins early. We have pretty simple tastes and are easily impressed, so as long as the steaks are as good as Applebee's we'll be happy.

I think if you get there 15-20 minutes before your ADR, you will be seated as close to your ADR time as possible. We have waited up to 1/2 hour before, but we didn't show up until 2 min. or so before our ADR. The last couple times, we went early and were seated within 5 minutes of our assigned time.

Oh...and it is WONDERFUL!!!!

I have never been seated anytime before 30 mins there. With that said we are a family of 8 so that may be why. We also have waited over an hour. One time we made mask during our wait time which helped time go by. There is also a guy (with a clown nose) who will keep the kids busy. I am not usre if he is there every night though. We do always show up at least 20 mins. early. With all that said we still go every trip. In fact we try to go twice and it is worth the wait. I do know that we are always told ADRs get you in the top of the list. It does not mean you will sit down at that time. Service has been slow at times but If I want to get out quickly I will inform the server and they (most of the time) do a good job of this.

Unfortunately, even with ADR's I had to wait for seating at Le Cellier. Last September DH and I waited 50 minutes to be seated(30 minutes past our ADR time). Granted, this was during free dining promotion, so that may have been the cause for the long wait.

We have never waited longer than 15-20 min. Le Cellier is one of our favorites.

During free dining last year, last week of Sept, our party of 5 arrived about 15 min early and weren't seated until 45-50 min past our ADR time!!! It was worth the wait though, even with a 2 and 6 yo.

We waited about 45 minutes past our ADR time last August. We had a 5:20 ADR, and they seated us a little after 6. We had a 2 & 3 year old, so waiting wasn't much fun.

We love the food at Le Cellier (cheese soup!), but the last time we went (Nov 2005), the service was horrible! IT was her last night as a waitress before she went back, so she was all over the place.

For years, we always made ADRs at LC (only the two of us) and never had to wait more than a couple minutes once we arrived.

Last September -- we weren't even aware it was free DDP -- we made our customary LC ADR and waited a good 20, 30 minutes past our assigned time. We were also seriously rushed through our meal -- not typical from our previous visits to LC. It was not a 1.5 hour meal -- more like 35 minutes. I don't know if the free DDP had anything to do with it, but over the course of our vacation, we noticed the waits were long everywhere even with ADRs.

I don't mean to be negative. LC offers a good steak in Epcot, but just want to offer what happened last year to us to help you plan a bit, especially if you have little ones We, too, are vacationing in Orlando during the free DDP (although, being FL residents and APHs, the free DDP is not a savings for us), and we are using last year's experience as a guide for our meal planning.

Hey Ardig, we have reservations there on 9/24 too @ 6:10.
I asked a question similar to this after reading about the time it takes to get in and out of there. The responses I got indicated this is pretty typical. Someone suggested I allow 1.5 hours. As long as we're out by 8:00 I'll be satisfied with that. I hope it doesn't take that long, just planning for the worst ... Good luck and hope to see you there!

Last October we also had a negative experience, waited 1hr plus after our ADR time, poor service, food was alright. Was going to try again this year but decided to check out a restaurant we have not been to yet.

Out of curiosity, do the people who get the really long waits even with ADRs go in peak season? We hav never had to wait long and we go in off season.
