Le Cellier - for picky pre-teens

We have a lunch reservation on August 26th and are using the free DDP . We've heard so many positive things about Le cellier that we had to try it.

The problem is my kids (DD-13 and DS-12)...both are somewhat picky, but do enjoy steak and potatoes, however, are not big fans of spicy gravy, glazes, etc....just the basic meat and potatoes kinda kids.

Are there any specific menu items you would recommend or is it just better to ask for the menu items without the gravy, glazes, etc.?

I'm picky too, and we ate for lunch. No problem at all asking them for a "plain" steak! The steak is great... desserts are great as well!

They will have absolutely no problem. Order it the way you want it and they'll be happy to comply.

I will be at WDW the same week for free dining and going to Le Cellier for the first time. Also have pickey DD12 who won't eat anything out of the ordinary. She will eat steak with no sauces and only mashed potatoes. Hopefully there will be no problem getting the plain steak. I'm sure she will ask for ketchup too.

My dd always orders the filet without sauce. And I gotta tell you, they have the BEST mashed potatoes on earth! My dd won't eat garlic ones, or ones that have lumps or skin in them. In other words, the ones at Le Cellier are the only ones she's ever eaten in a restaurant. (Ad we sometimes order an extra side, they're that good!)

Oh that is good to know about the potatoes. We can't have garlic, lumps or skins. If there is anything in there she will find it!!!! Thanks!!!!

We ordered plain not only there but lot of places and had no problems at all getting exactly what we wanted. We also ordered pasta plain and at Captian Jacks that told DS to just explain what he wanted in his pasta and they would fix it. DS (14) wanted a shrimp alfredo that was not even on the menu and they said, "no problem". We got just ice cream several places too including Ohanna's where they had bread pudding with ice cream. Just ask, they will be glad to help any way they can.
