With other discussions of the filet being dropped at various restaurants around Disney World I have to wonder if it is still on at Le Cellier or if it will be removed soon. I am posting this 8/16/08. Can anyone confirm that the filet is still currently available at Le Cellier? It does appear on the menu at AllEars, but the menu is dated May, 2008 so that doesn't really make me feel any better. Thanks.

According to what has been posted here, Le Cellier still serves a mushroom filet.

We were there last week, and ordered the delish Filet:woohoo: . So did my son:cool1: ! The one thing no longer on the menu however, is an appetizer that I believe was called the oriental shrimp cocktail, with a wasabi sauce:guilty: . The podcast crew recently reported that the filet will soon no longer be available at many of the restaurants, but this was NOT the case last week.

Just returned yesterday. Yes the filet is still on the menu. We ate their twice and it was my favorite meal.

Thanks... hope it's still there when we arrive early October. Looking forward to it and its been pulled from Kona, so I'd be bummed if it got pulled here too.

They have dropped the barbeque filet from the menu. I am heart broken!! They still have the mushroom filet.

It's also been pulled from the Captain's Grill (former yacht club galley). LeCellier did drop one of the filets. They use to offer 2 different ones, but dropped the BBQ one (which was my choice). We just returned home this week and noticed ALOT of menu changes than what is posted on our favorite menu boards.

Hi n2mm -- I read yesterday on this thread:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1926238
that you had said you had just had lunch at LC, and there were no steaks on the LC lunch menu? All of the online menus are still showing the mushroom filet and the New York strip at lunch time -- has that just changed? Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

No, sorry for the confusion. Yes there are still steaks, but I was referring to the new menu 3 course meal selection. This was a new section on the menu that simplifies your choices. There were no steaks on that combo section. In the combo section the total is $29.99 and you choose an appet/entre/des. There were no steaks there. I believe there are still steaks on the menu that are not part of this new deal.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up! This is only our second trip to WDW, and we weren't able to get into LC last time, and could only get a lunch ADR this year...but the lunch menu still looked pretty good. I was kinda bummed to think that they would only have sandwiches, though  It's all good -- if nothing else, we would have tried the new pilot menu, but I'd rather order what I want ala carte, and pay OOP for an appetizer if I feel like it.
