I noticed there's a big price difference between the lunch filet mignon dish and the dinner one.
Is there any size difference between the dishes?
Or is it only because more people want to go there for dinner?

Thanks :)

The dinner portions of the filet and New York strip are larger than the lunch ones, but not dramatically so. I and my daughter had the filet at lunch there during our last trip and the portion -- a thick "baseball" style cut -- was more than adequate for our appetites.

In closing, if you want a serious, impressive piece of absolutely prime steak at WDW, forget Le Cellier, Yachtsman and all the other standards people repeatedly mention here and instead go over to the Dolphin and treat yourself at Shulas. It's quite pricey but worth doing at least once.

Last trip we ate there lunch and dinner. My portion of filet for lunch was about half the size of my dinner portion.

I seem to remember reading somewhere (probably on the boards) that the lunch portion was 5 oz. and the dinner portion was 8 oz. - this may have been awhile ago, though...and I could be off +/- an ounce. Maybe a search of the boards will help answer this. :confused3

We ate there at lunch Tuesday for the first time. The filet was awesome! and plentiful for us. We did have a cup of cheese soup... and shared mashed potatoes (left more than we ate... they were good tho) ... and after all the wonderful bread (especially loved the pretzel bread!)... only problem was enjoying the parks afterwards... and not a nap! I think that's why I wouldn't want to do lunch there again... big meals at lunch are just harder for me to handle. But... it's the only time we could get... and I'm not sorry we did it! I'm glad we saved some money! Next time... I'll skip the soup (it was good!)... skip the mashed... just enjoy the steak and bread for lunch!

After you fill up of the great pretzel breadsticks and it being lunch the size difference won't matter. Just eat it slow and savor the flavor of the great mushroon filet.
