What do you enjoy at Le Cellier, we're going for the first time this trip and I'm wondering what a favorite menu item is. Also, can you suggest something light for my mother? She likes soups/salads, etc.

My favorite meal at Le Cellier is the Canadian Beer Cheese soup, followed by the Mushroom Filet and ending with the Maple Glazed Creme Brulee. For a lighter meal, you could try the Maple Glazed Salmon or just the Cheese soup and a small salad.

...I had the following items

Appetizer: Salmon Timbale with marscapone cheese and citrus sauce

Entree: King Salmon with Corn and Arugula

Dessert: Chocolate Whiskey Cake

The new menus on the DIS and Allears no longer show the Salmon Timbale; the King Salmon is still served on the maple corn cake, but is now topped with candied walnuts and maple glaze instead of the wonderful wilted salad it had last year. These were wonderful dishes, but I am looking forward to experiencing the new menu which also looks wonderful.......especially the Duck Two Ways. Has anyone had this yet; if so, any pictures?

:thumbsup2

Here's a second vote for the Cheddar Cheese soup & pretzel bread! I can make a meal of it!:thumbsup2

the mushroom filet is the only entree I ever get here. They do an excellant job with it.

I seem to have a favorite meal at each of our favorite restaurants and I usually don't vary much:rotfl:

First, the Grilled Asparagus is out of this world and only costs about $3 per serving.

Second, we're into double digits until our Food and Wine excursion and we've got 2 Le Cellier ressies for our trip.

DH lunch and dinner is the same, cheese soup and the BBQ filet

Me, lunch I love the caesar salad and beef tips with udon noodles and stir fried veggies. For dinner I LOVE the mushroom filet

my very favorite thing are the mussels that you get as an appetizer. While I enjoy the cheese soup, the mussels are wonderful!!

I have to agree with a lot of the posters. I can make a meal out of the pretzel sticks and cheddar cheese soup. I also love the petit filet mignon.

We had lunch their during our trip in June. I have to agree with everyone & I'm not that big of a soup fan but, the Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup is very good. I had the Calgary Barbecue Sliced Prime Rib Sandwich & it was also very good. This could be shared by a couple of people in my opinion making it a lighter option.

The Prince Edward Island Mussels are to die for! as well as the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon. My gosh I literally licked the plate after that...a steak you could cut with your straw! It was the best meal!

I have to agree with everyone who said the cheese soup and pretzel breadsticks! We're having an early lunch there in Sept and my dd and I are both planning on making a light lunch out of the soup/breadsticks :goodvibes

We went for a late lunch (2pm) to save a little $$. I adore the seared salmon salad on the lunch menu. Paired with the cheese soup, pretzel bread, and the choclate "moose" for dessert, it was perfection. Then before Illuminations, all we needed to do is grab a snack since our lunch was very satisfying.

I had the timbale appetizer this past December-it was my favorite part of the meal. I also did a wine paring, I really liked that a lot too!:thumbsup2

I'm in agreement here love them mussels. Followed buy the Mushroom Filet .

I also vote for the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread. Can't forget the mushroom filet, excellent :thumbsup2

I've always ordered the vine ripened tomato stack for an appetizer, but in May tried the Duck Two Ways and found a new favorite. Cheese soup is OK, but too smoky bacon flavored for me. For an entree I always get the filet with mushroom rissoto. I always say I'm going to try something different but just can't seem to do it. I love that risotto:love: and the filet is so tender you can cut it with a fork . The chocolate 'moose' is cute, sorbet duo is OK, whiskey cake is all right, but their creme brulee duo is wonderful.
