I need to get some opinions on the AMOUNT of food at Le Cellier. We'll be on regular dining plan. I know this is quite subjective but any opinions will help.
I, along with another in our group, are pretty big eaters, so we will be doing buffets mostly, but we have been wanting to try Le Cellier and this next trip will be a great opportunity. We want to make sure we are going to get enough food without needing to stray too far off the DDP. It may sound silly to some, considering all the posts I've seen on the restaurant board about TOO MUCH food, but I have been to a couple restaurants on the DDP and just didn't feel I had eaten enough. The others in our party will be fine, I'm sure.
I assume Le Cellier is no different than most other TS restaurants in that there will be a side included with a steak or fish, and of course desert.
Any help would be appreciated!

I ordered the filet and couldn't finish it - I am a BIG eater
I can't imagine that you could leave there hungry

If you can get a ressie, I definitely would. We ate there last January (We had 3 teenage boys) and there was plenty of food. Teenage boys eat A LOT! :goodvibes

If you're worried, you could always order an appetizer and pay out of pocket. We are another family who thinks there is a ton of food on the dining plan- we usually have snack credits left over.
I remember our desserts at LeCellier being pretty big, so if you are still hungry after your entree, the dessert should help fill you up!

Edited to add: They give you breadsticks to start, so you could always ask for another basket of those. They are yummy!

I come from a family of "good eaters"....lol and this place was recommended by my niece. They love food as much as I and while it isn't as much as buffet she did say they got a decent sized meal. They did order the soup as well though. Used that as their appy.

I got my adr this morning for dinner there. Can't wait to try the Prime Rib! I figure with all the food around us that week we should be ok.
We to are doing some buffets, Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey oh and Tusker House for characters. TH being BK.
And Boma to "stretch" our taste buds!! :lmao:

I say if you can book it and go experience it.

We have eaten there every trip (all with DDP) and this last time with DxDP. However, we always get an appy regardless because it is sooo good - salad and soup (we share both). We always come away stuffed and usually don't finish our meals (although the filet is kinda small).

But a picture is worth a thousand words...

Oh Tigger_ttfn, you're starving me! Love that filet!!! Can't wait to have it again soon.

OP, I think there is plenty of food. My husband is a big eater and I could tell he was struggling through dessert. He had the filet with risotto.

Okay, that picture of the soup about did me in.. SO YUMMY!

I agree, plenty of food at LC. My husband is a huge eater too, and we didn't even make it to dessert. We started off with the pretzel bread, cheese soup, and a caesar salad. He then had the strip, and I had the filet, both with cream cheese mashed potatoes. Delicious!

I'm determined to make it to dessert this time though! ;)

Was the strip tender, was it marinated?
