Will we be safe when we dine at Le Cellier with a 7:05 pm reservation when the fireworks starts at 9 pm?

Party of two, planning to arrive 15 minutes before the reservation and we want to eat appetizer, entree and dessert without feeling to be in a hurry. I think there is more than enough time to be out of the restaurant at about 08:40 pm. Or should I be worried?

I would appreciate any input, thank you :-)

Haven't eaten there in a while (have amazing memories of steak and cheddar/bacon soup though!), but I think you should be good for a little over an hour. 8:40 might be tight in terms of getting a good spot to watch Illuminations depending on when you're going and how busy the park is.

You will be fine. We do this all the time. In fact we will arrive earlier than 15 minutes sometimes. Plus if you tell the server you want to be out by 8:40 they will make sure of that without you feeling rushed. It will be rough getting a good spot, but it's all good.

You will be out in plenty of time in my opinion however your choices on where to view from will be very limited. Dont expect an unobstructed view from a rail lining up that late.

You should be totally fine. As mentioned before, try walking up early and ask if they can already seat you and make sure the server knows. But even with 7.05 you should be safe!

I would say it depends on what time of year youre going. I went Thanksgiving week (I am thinking the Tuesday before T-Day). We waited 40 minutes for our 6:30pm ressie. Didnt get seated until 7:10 and because they were so crowded, service was slow. We got out just after 9.

Our last trip, September 2015 (value season ???!!!) we got a fast pass for Illuminations. We got to the reserved spot at 8:30 and we were already about 3 rows deep in the viewing area. You really need to find a spot about an hour prior to get great viewing.

We had a 715 reservation there around this time last year. It is probably the worst service experience I've had in all of Disney dining. Despite checking multiple times we were not seated until at least 820 and there were no pagers. Multiple parties who arrived after us were seated before. So in my experience no it's not a guarantee and next time we'll do yachtsman or flying fish.

Yeah, they won't hit you in there! pirate: ARGHHHHHHHH

But, to your actual question, two things always help speed things along. #1 - know what you are eating before you get there and tell your server that you are ready to order when he first comes. #2- Tell the server when you get your food that you want to settle the bill as soon as possible.

Servers like to turn tables, and they too like to work fast. Mutual interest helps.

The last time I ate there the appetizer was on the table followed about 2 minutes later by the entree being thrown down. (.Literally the waiter zoomed by, dropped the entree and practically ran off. Probably so I couldn't complain about the timing)

Waiter was next seen with check in his hand saying "you don't want desert do you?"

The only thing missing in their turn the table act is a cattle prod.

Based on my experience you will be out by 8. They don't want this to be a leisurely relaxing meal LOL
