Le Cellier ADRs - I honestly don't get the problem...

I will be in WDW 8/22 for 9 nights. The morning my 180 day came up I called reservations and got a Lecellier lunch and a dinner. I didn't do it on the internet because it wasn't working for me. Cancellations do happen though. Keep checking

I have never had a problem getting LeCellier ADR's. In fact I have ADR there on thanksgiving night at 6pm. However if you are finding it difficult and you want a steak in EPCOT go to Teppen Edo in Japan. The steak is every bit as good and you get the 'show' from the chef.

Folks - remember that on slow season it's a lot easier to get ADRs. So for example, combine Xmas season, free dininig, and CP blocking more than half of the tables, and sure enought, it's impossilbe to get an ADR.

However, it does happen... I found a Dec. 24th dinner with the help of a CM (as at first I had found nothing for the week before). And then that night, I found 2 more openings. I assume someone had just canceled or they opened up more tables.

I had no problems getting Le Cellier and then the blasphemy of it all I cancelled it for Via Napoli.
But for my free dining trip I remember looking at 88 days out and found a couple ones when I was reshuffling my dates and the September Cancellation and alot of people are cancelling them and listing them there.

So I think Le Cellier is attainable for many :)

I'm with the "unless you are the one who can't get it" camp!! We are going on my husband's dream trip and I can't get a reservation there for Sept. 18th to save my life!! I have been trying every day a couple of times a day to get one and can't!! :sad2: I'd love to know your secret!! :wizard: I was hopeful today with Via Napoli opening and thought some people might cancel, but so far no luck!

Just got a lunch reservation for the 18th :banana::banana::banana: The pixiedust: is flying this morning!! :cool1:

Just a heads up that I didn't intend to be snarky in my post. The truth is that I like to look around and see what I can come up with when I'm bored and have had very little problems finding openings. Like Catne said, though, it may be that I'm more flexible in what I'd accept..8:30 at night may not be reasonable to some people, especially if seeing Illuminations is important to them. ;)

A couple of years ago DH and I went to the World for 10 nights, all by ourselves,:) no kids. . .stayed on-site,. . .the only reservation we could get at le Cellier at any time during our 11 day stay was midweek at 9:30 PM. And I booked on the first day I was allowed to make ADR's. That was it-one opening during the entire time we were going to be there!

We haven't been able to get into Le Cellier for the past few years. We tried several months out, even the week/day of for cancellations = nothing.
I think they must have changed the reservation system or something because I was just able to reserve a table for 2 at 6:10pm at 180 days out for our February trip. :cool1:
We usually travel that time of year, and it being off-season you'd think it would be easier to get ADR's but we've had no luck up until now.....so somethings definitely changed.

IMO an 8 to 10 day stay will make it easier to get Canada at the 180 + 10 mark.
On the day it opens you go to the last few days of your trip and work backwards. I have don ethis in the past and never have been shut out.
I currently have two days in October and two in December for Le Cellier .

If you book a last minuite trip months before its very difficult!
Disney can offer free dining, however what good is it if you can't get good locations. IMO Disney usually offers this free dining knowing this, hoping that you don't use all your credits and = $$$

I called at my 180 day mark at opening and ended up getting the only ressie they had left for you dates. I have checked multiple times since then to see if there might be a better time availalble and only once got an availability for lunch. I just kept my original ressie. So although it may not be busy for certain times, other times it is nearly impossible. The only reason I booked it was for dbf, as he has never been and would probably enjoy it. I think it's a good place but not as wonderful as made out to be. But that is just my opinion.

I called on my 180 day mark and I was successfull at getting Le Cellier on December 31st at noon. I'd rather do dinner but that was the only time available. A few days later there was a 1 pm so I changed it to that.
I keep checking everyday to see if I can get the time closer and closer to dinner but no luck yet. But at least we have a nice lunch time for new years eve!

I've already got a late 10pm for rose and crown ( new years eve) and hoping that we'll be able to get on the patio for illuminations at midnight!! I'ts hubby's birthday and I ordered a cake already too!!!

Nothing available for my dates. I've been checking every day since 107 days out from our booking. We're going during a slow time too but there is free dining & Food & Wine.

I'm not complaining and it's great that it's been so easy for some of you!

I had a reservation at my 180 days out for lunch because I couldn't get dinner. I ended up cancelling that reservation and then recently decided Dh and I might want to have lunch or dinner there afterall. I was finally able to reserve Le Cellier today...one for dinner on September 27th and one for lunch on September 29th. I'm pretty sure I'll be cancelling the lunch one on September 29th :).

Since May - and really just for the fun of seeing what I can find in anticipation of my WDW vacation NEXT year - I've been doing random searches at some of the harder-to-get restaurants (i.e. Le Cellier).

I honestly don't know what the problem is in getting ADRs. Is it that people wait until the last minute? I've had about 75% (guessing at %) success when searching for ADRs at Le Cellier, especially if I look 100 or more days in advance. I think I'd venture to say that - if you WANT ADRs at Le Cellier and are wiling to plan a little bit - you shouldn't have a huge problem.

What am I missing? :confused3

I guess it looks easy if you aren't actually looking for reservations, but I can tell you the 186th day out from my visit, and that was before free dining was announced for my visit dates, when I was looking for LeCellier any time during the day, I couldn't find it. Nor could I find a dinner reservation any day that week.

Again, that was 180+ days out, not 100 days or at the last minute.

I don't understand the problem either....I made a ressie there today. It is the 3rd time we will be eating there and I've never had a problem getting the day or time (within 1/2 hr) I want.

EXCELLENT book me a ressie for 8/23 at noon thanks! ;)

Any luck vanreg? Im waaaiiiitttttinnnnng

i called 180 days out, gave the CM the option for dinner for five, any day any time of the 10 nights we will be there. there was ONE reservation available and it was for 8:35 pm. i took it obviously, and am keeping it, but i have always had a hard time getting a ressie there (well, a hard time since 2006...before that we ate there on every trip and it was never an issue).

We couldn't be more flexible, and still no luck! I have been trying for weeks to get our party of 8 a reservation at ANY time during our 8 day stay. Lunch, dinner, late, early, couldn't care less..and yet..nothing!
We'll be there from Dec.10th to Dec 17th, so by all means, if you come across anything send a heads up my way!
As it stands, our last hope I believe will be when the Candlelight Processional packages get released. We've been there many MANY, and I could honestly just skip all this maddness, but it's DD's favorite restaurant and we're taking some family that have never been, soooo...
We have NEVER had trouble finding availablity before!:confused3

We were able to get all of the restaurants we wanted including le cellier at Epcot. All of our reservations are between 5pm and 6pm. Of course we have to stay up until 3:30 am to make these reservations online. But we didn't have any trouble. We are even eating at Coral Reef. But we are going the first week of October so I am not sure how busy it is that week. I have to say, it is easier making reservations online than being on hold forever.

It may be easier to split your party. We had this trouble last year cause we had 8 people but found it easier to split 4 and 4. Then we were able to get into Le Cellier then as well. It was the first week of December.

I was not able to get Le Cellier on our actual anniversary on 10/10 sadly since it's my DH favorite place... no luck anytime that day. But I was up at 6am EST yesterday booking everything for our February trip. This time I made ressies two nights to be safe :D
