The tables are pretty close together and the place is a bit cramped. Because of our numbers for this upcoming trip (6 - 4 adults, 1 child, 1 baby) and how booked the place always is, they told us they absolutely couldn't accomodate us unless we split up into 2 tables. I am not sure if they will be accepting of an additional person???
To the OP - you could have a problem. It doesn't matter if the four year old will sit on the mom's lap during the entire time. You still have a party of five. Pulling up an extra chair probably would not work due to fire codes (have to have the aisles a certain width).
The two tables is no big deal. That's how Disney books the reservations, by table.

You can try it but you might have to wait a while until a table for a party of your new size opens up. And with LeCellier, that could be a while.
When we ate at Le Cellier (Aug. 06) we couldn't get a reservation for 5, so my DH and I decided to go by ourselves and had the children go with the nanny to eat. When we got there we were seated at a table that would have comfortably sat 6...so I called them at the Sunshine Seasons food court and had them join us. It was no big deal.
Just like tables for 3 don't exist; it's a 4 topper. So adding a person to an odd numbered party is easy - you already have the right size table. =)
