OK, so heres the scenario:
My Dad is fascinated with the idea of eating at Le Cellier (Epcot Canadian Steakhouse). He has been lucky enough to visit Disney World a few times over the years and every time he has tried to book a reservation at Le Cellier and every time he has failed. He has even gone and tried to wait without reservations but has been turned away. I am not sure why he is so passionate about this, but it certainly seems to be on his bucket list of things to do.
Now skip ahead to Tuesday, April 20, 2010, my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary. In celebration of this momentous occasion we invited my parents on a 3-night Disney Cruise (there first Disney Cruise) with my wife and I and their two grandchildren. Well, my Dad decides that he and my Mom are going to go down to Disney World a day before we get there so they can celebrate their Anniversary together in the parks (pretty sweet actually). So, of course, my Dad has attempted every day since this decision to try and book Le Cellier and, of course, he has had no luck. I, myself, have tried to book via the website and called down on a number of occasions as well.
So my question to you, the esteemed community of the Disboards, is there any way to get my Mom and Dad a reservation that I am missing? I would be willing to pre-pay for the meal for them or even consider a special package (though this is the only meal they will probably eat in the parks this time). My ideal scenario is for a dinner reservation for a party of two (2) on Tuesday, April 20th, but I would be happy getting them in even for lunch (I think its more just making into the holy grail of restaurants than anything else for my Dad).
Any thoughts???? Thank you so much for any help!
