Le Bistro, better than ever

Hi guys...

For those of you who love a great dining experience..don't forget about Le Bistro de Paris. Upstairs from Chefs de France, and serves dinner only.

The menu, service and atmosphere are fantastic. They have a great fixed price option...$60 for five items which you choose off the entire menu..a great deal. You can also add the wine flight with that if you want to.

We opted for two appetizers (each..lol), two main courses and one dessert. They bring smaller portions..than if you just order one..but, still plenty of food.

Very relaxed exquisite dining. The manager is also excellent.

Only dress code..no tank tops or swim wear.

For those of you who love fine food..give it a try, you won't be disappointed. If I can find my menu from a week ago..I will get it to the proper people for posting on the menu sites.

This is one of "THE BEST KEPT SECRETS" of EPCOT. It is truely a great experience and if you can ask for a window table then you can watch fire works while eating. OOPS don't tell anyone!!! HAHA

Flower..splitting entrees is fine..but, you can not split the one price menu.

It's also been awhile for us since the Bistro. If we can manage an Epcot restautrant in Oct. ,that's where we'll probably go.

Thanks for the review, Webray. As you can see by the replies to your post, Le Bistro is often overlooked, and many people don't even know it's there. It is always nice to be reminded about this wonderful restaurant.

Glad you had a good experience. Ours was not so enjoyable there (6/03). Hopefully they have made some improvements since then.

This is a place I've often been curious about but wary of. DH and I love fine dining like Jiko and California Grill. But I've never enjoyed Chefs de France, and since they share a building I guess I just wonder about the food. Plus we've never had anything come close to "fine dining" inside EPCOT. Can you tell me more about the food, atmosphere, and service? I'll do a search for menus.

We have eaten there twice and it is definitely "fine dining" (and, I agree, that I have not been able to find it anywhere else at Epcot).

Waiters are all dressed in tuxedos and the service is impeccable. Very quiet place. Great wine service (although the wine list itself is not that extensive). Fabulous food, but very French (what else would you expect?). Really a cut above any other restaurant at Epcot in this regard.

Definately fine dining...yes. We consider Jiko fine dining also..just a different level. We do not consider CA Grill fine dining..as the food leaves a bit to be desired. Small and intimate, the servers are wonderful.

Flower...the one price menu...is reduced portion sizes..believe me, you will have no trouble eating it all..lol...it is too good to waste.

All the menus I have seen on the websites are terribly outdated.
Unfortunately, I haven't found mine yet..probably lost them on the way back to room out of hubbys pocket. Sorry. When we go up again shortly...I will get new ones and post.

Here's the big question ... what about young children? I would never think about taking my DD to V&A's, but I would take her to any other WDW restaurant I have been to (except Shulas which offers free childcare). I'd love to try Le Bistro, but if it's too "grown up" for my 5 year old DD I would drop her off in a kids club over at one of the Epcot resorts.
