Layout Challenge~ July 18-August 1, WINNER POSTED!

Welcome to the next layout challenge! Now for the details...

This challenge runs from July 18-August 1.
It is open to all scrappers, both digital and traditional.
You will use the sketch below, from pencillines.com...(do not feel like you have to keep the photo so small, make it bigger if that is what speaks to you or your layout)...

Notice this has a lot of space for journaling...embrace that! Remember, if you don't tell the story who will. I am keeping all of the other requirements really loose. Use any colors, patterns, themes you like, just Journal!

Good Luck, have fun with it, and I will have my example up in a couple of days.

GC I'm not good with journalling either but as one scrapper told me, some day I won't be here to tell the story and my kids want to see my words in my writing. So I do what I can.

Great job on the layout. Awesome job on the journaling everyone.

I try to journal as much as I can but sometimes a page just doesn't need to be journaled either the photo or the title says it all LOL

I will be taking this challenge but I don't know if my page will qualify since there will be no journaling on the page. This page is going to be the opening page of my son's baby book (who is 9 LOL). The rest of the book tells "his" story.

GC I'm not good with journalling either but as one scrapper told me, some day I won't be here to tell the story and my kids want to see my words in my writing. So I do what I can.

I agree Another thing I was taught is to journal mostly in your own handwriting (even if you don't like it) because your children will cherish it after you're gone. I very rarely use the computer to journal, unless I have tons to say and not enough room. Many of my books have entire pages of journalling and then there are pages with just pictures too

Find some really excellent paper, that will make the one photo requirement easier.

OK here you go...
There isn't any journaling because this is the 1st page to my son's baby book. The rest of the pages will tell his story.

Just so you know my son is now 9 LOL I'm redoing his baby book slowly.
