Layout Challenge #5 - winner posted

OK, This week's challenge is to do something mosiac. It can be the whole page or some photos on the page or by using a mosiac background. I did a page last night so I will try to post it later. Not sure what the prize will be yet. I will have DD draw a winner next Sunday night - Oct. 26. Have fun!

Here are 2 samples I did. I like the first one best and the second one is just OK.

These both show using all elements on the page. I will try to find some on the web with using something smaller.

Ok, I looked on 2 peas and if you search "mosiac" you'll find several layouts.

Whew! I was thinking of cutting up pictures to make a mosiac and I was thinking.. I barely crop my photos so I'll be really struggling for this one..but I think I can do this.. I'll try it on Wed... I have to finish the summer seasonal pages tomorrow... I've got to cut them tonight and assemble tomorrow am...

I was planning to do a page using this technique for a page in my Montana scrapbook. When we were out there this summer, there was a sample page up in one of the scrapbook stores we went into and I loved it and wanted to try it with my own pictures. Now this challenge may give me the push to actually do it!!! Thanks!

Doing the page isn't the hard part for me, it's posting the picture. Will try to do better this challenge.

I do want to do a layout of my cottage using some pics from this summer. Might be a good one to try this on.

I'm in on this, but I have a question. Does the entire page need to be in the mosaic form or can it just be an element or two that is done as a mosaic?? Thanks ..............................P

I the way mosaic looks. I use the technique a lot. I will try and remember to take pics of the old ones tonight, and I was already planning to do DH's aunt and uncles 50th wedding anniversary vow renewal pages with it, so I will just have to up those pages on the to do list.

Update, I did find my first mosaics from years ago in the back of my photobucket account. I have refined this process a lot over the years, so I will still have to photograph them and post tonight.

Holy CRAP! That "flowers" page is so fabulous I can hardly stand it! What a superb idea and a great execution of the idea. I wish I could be so creative! Nice job....................P
