Layout Challenge # 22 (6/9 - 6-24) - Congrats - ZerotoHero!

I'm trying! Really I am.... :)
I will work diligently on it tomorrow since the kids only have XC in the AM..and DH is home to help w/ any fighting tomorrow!!!! :)

Ok .... here is my take on it - it is not exactly the same, but I was definately inspired by the map ... I normally don't use SO MANY patterns on one page :lmao:

Too cute!!!!
It's in the 90s today; so I'll be scrapping when it cools and this is the first item on the list!

This is adorable! I love your take on the map and your use of papers worked great! Plus, it doesn't have to be exactly the same, just use it as a starting block. Love it and thanks so much for playing!!!

Thanks! This was my favorite pic of my boys and I have put of scrapping it for 2 years now :rotfl: Thanks for helping me finally get it done! :thumbsup2

Awesome LO Spare+ a Pair! I love the papers you used. They coordinate really well. What a great idea for a page.

Alright, here's my entry. Except I'm not really sure it counts, but I wanted to post it and leave the eligibility up to you, vanyel. Here's my story:

My boyfriend actually did this page! I'm so proud of him. He picked out the photo (except I was going to use the same one anyway, so it worked out), he picked the paper (as you can see, he's definitely colorblind... :lmao:), I gave him some measurements to cut with the Cutterpede - and he did. He messed one up, but decided to fix it with the little yellow piece. He even used the ATG to glue them down, not realizing how sticky it is, and then when he messed up the measurements, he had stuck down the big blue piece, and couldn't move it up. Oh well. He even picked out the Dew Drop color!

The only real input I had on this was the blue piece of paper that the title is on, the title itself, and the measurements of the paper. I wish I could have not had him use that red paper, but oh well.

Up to you to decide if you want it to be eligible. If you do, it can go in under his name, and if it comes to it, I can always have him make the next challenge - he actually said he would be willing to scrap with me again!
Anddddd.... here it is!

Of course I'll count it and you two can fight it out if you win :) It's really cute and the red paper gives it that "pop" of color decorators always talk about it. It looks great!

Aww, thanks guys! I'll pass the praise along - and tell him he's destined to be a scrapper.

alright, I've given up... 4 patterned papers is too much outside my element... I tried everything... templated one and DH said you didn't adhere that together, did ya? At that point, I knew I didn't have the talent for this challenge...
BUT, thanks for making me attempt it!

Nancy - Try again once more. It was hard for me too, but I found that if I got patters with colors that were all in the same family it finally worked. Maybe post what you have (not glued down) and we can help you figure out what is off :grouphug:

Sending you some pixie dust :wizard:

Oh Nancy, you can do it! Try working with papers that come together - like a dcwv stack - think patchwork quilt - everything doesn't have to match.

I didn't think this challenge was that hard :sad2:

Tonight is my reqularly scheduled night to crop so I may try to work this layout in and post it tomorrow. I'll have to see if it works with the pictures I have with me. Thanks for the challenge.

I was not sure if I would make it in, but I did! :cool1: This was a challenge, but here is my page...

Vanyel, I took your quilt idea and ran with it! I was skeptical as I was making this, but I love the final results. I think the stitching really brings it all together.

It is a little different from the map, I hope that is okay. :goodvibes I had to get my journaling in there! :lmao:

Thanks for a making me think outside the box on this one! :hippie:

I love this! The stitching is a great idea - I might have to add some to my layout. :thumbsup2 Changing the map is part of the process - it's so fun to see what others do with the template!

Wow jacksmomma, I love that! It looks so cool - and I thought the journaling was part of the pattern when I looked really fast. Nice job. :thumbsup2

Just bumping this up - deadline is tomorrow night - I'll draw the winner first thing Thursday am.
