I am on the first cruise from CA to Mexico on May 28,2005. I have booked my airfare on skymiles, but need transportation from LAX to the port. Does anyone know what Disney is offering for transfers?

They have no information yet as far as I know. We are on the June 11 trip. Waiting......patiently......waiting.......:wave2:

I am sure Disney will probably arrange buses - they have buses from LAX to the Disneyland resort hotels so I can't imagine why they wouldn't arrange something for this summer's cruises - wish I could go on one :(

From what I've heard, Disney does NOT offer buses from LAX to Disneyland resort hotels -- it's either taxi, SuperShuttle, or airport bus. Someone correct me if this is incorrect.

We have never heard about a Disney bus from LAX to DL resorts. There are so many different airports that people can fly into the LA area, that would be a nightmare for Disney to provide shuttles. But for the cruise, you would think that the majority of the passengers will be arriving by air, I would think that if DCL provides the air, then they will also provide shuttles. Maybe they will caravan some of their East coast DCL buses out west. That would be a site to see cruising down I-20 West. I would camp out on the Interstate to get a photo of that coming through town!

How long is the commute from LAX to the terminal?

According to Mapquest it's about 19 miles, mostly freeway, so they optimistically estimate 22 minutes. I'll say 30-45 depending on the time of day.

I've seen Disneyland buses from LAX to Disneyland. My cousin just went on one last week. I'm sure they'll probably charter some busses or a shuttle service from LAX to the pier. Two of the shuttle services around here is Super Shuttle and PrimeTime Shuttle.

Traffic on a Saturday shouldn't be too bad. I'd estimate 30 minutes or so. Sepulveda -> 105 freeway -> 405 freeway -> 110 freeway.

Super Shuttle rates for LAX to San Pedro:
Private van (up to 7 people) - $60
Private van (up to 9 people) - $80
Execucar Sedan Service Meet and Greet (Up to 4 Passengers) - $66
Shared ride van service is $24 for 1st person & 9 per additional guest.

Thanks Rae Ann for the rates. It's good to have an idea and that we are not too far from port. We will be flying in day before and staying at the Holiday Inn just in case any delays/change of flight schedule.

I too, will be on that cruise. We are flying in to lax and have purchase disney transfers to take us to san pedro. my ta said that disney will provide charter buses for transfers...
