How long does this normally take you?

From 35-45 min. depending on traffic... we use Execucar Express Shuttle service and have always had great service. Family of 4 is 72 dollars each way not including tip.

We did this in October! DH and I used the Super Shuttle and to be honest, it took longer for the van to load up than to do the drive. After all but one passenger boarded, the driver circled the entire airport for the last scheduled passenger for 45 minutes. No one on the ground knew what was going on, so our driver pretty much cruised the pick up areas until he was found. Because of their lack of organization, I'd be leery of Super Shuttle out of LAX.

Now, we're flying into SNA this week and we're using Super Shuttle again. We figure the delays can't be that bad because it's a SMALL airport. haha! TBH - we did Super Shuttle from SNA to the HOJO before and it was perfect, so we're hoping for consistency on this trip, too.

I'll add that for all our Super Shuttle experiences, we didn't have any delays during the hotel pickup on our departure day. Even the LAX shuttle was timely...then.

I had a problem with super shuttle for billing before; we had prepaid a decent rate, and the driver told us we'd have to pay more to get our private van ride. He wanted around $16-$20 more I think it was... we insisted we had already prepaid in full and the super shuttle guy at the island at LAX told him he would have to honor it. It was a quiet ride allllll the way to the hotel. Yeesh. So take all documentation with you to show if you prepay (we did) and you can select a 0 tip initially and pay in cash afterwards, according to service. We still tipped the guy because we knew he had lost some money due to supershuttle giving us the rate for cheaper, and he probably had a family to support, so we didn't want to take money away from him. At the same time, we try to plan for our vacation to the dollar and so it would have been helpful if he would have just accepted that we had paid. Never a problem with Execucar Express shuttle billing, which you CAN book through supershuttle, but we book on their own website.
