We are a party of 8, and renting a car wouldn’t make sense for us. I looked at some of the van companies listed on the DL website. It’s our first time to DL- any recommendations on how to get to and from LAX (esp given our party size, luggage etc). It’s my wife and I and our 6 kids and she does not want to split up for the transportation if that helps. Thanks!!

In CA, any child under the age of 8 requires a car seat.
This applies to taxis, ubers, lifts, rental cars, or any vehicle that isn't a shuttle or bus.
This law is very strict, and will be followed. So unless you are flying with carseats, a shuttle is your only option if you have children age 7 and below.

Also do check out Karmel Shuttle and also Lansky's, they are competitive when it comes to price, along with decent service too.

One cheap option I’ve discovered is metro. There are sketchy people that ride but you’ll be fine with a large group. So here’s what you do: you take the green metro shuttle from LAX to the aviation/LAX station. Then you take the green metro eastbound to Norwalk (the fare is $1.75 per person and you have to get a TAP card for each person which is $2 each). Then take bus 460 for free to Disneyland. That’ll take you a couple hours but it’s much cheaper than other options.

I cannot recommend Milwilshuttle enough, they were fantastic and reasonably priced!

We only have 3 kids, all under 8, and that sounds like a hellish ordeal. 🤣

Another vote for Karmel Shuttle Very reliable, curbside pickup and should be around $165 each way for a private transfer.
