LAX to DL Aug 2018, what's the best way to get to our hotel in Anaheim

We have a trip planned for next summer, coming in on Sat Aug 4th till Sun Aug 12th. It's be myself and my DD27. We are WDW vets, but taking our 2nd trip to the original to celebrate my 39th bday (for the 21st time!). We'll be staying at a good neighbor hotel the first night then at Disneyland Resort the rest of the time. We're flying Southwest and coming from Chicago Midway.

Found out today that there are no nonstop flights from MDW to SNA and DD27 won't do that. Plus the fares are pretty high. We really liked SNA when we were able to fly in there in our trip in 2016, so small, close and convenient! But, looks like we'll have to go thru LAX now. I just recall hearing how big the place is and how difficult to get luggage(we'll each have a carry on suitcase and a bigger checked bag to drag around), and what a big overwhelming place it is to maneuver thru and get to transportation, and that can be bad, too. And not looking forward to a long walk thru the airport. Ugh, lol. But at least we're going to Disneyland! So, now I'm trying to figure out the best way to get from LAX to our hotel. I expect we'll either take the flight that gets in on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. or 2:45 p.m., depending on the fare. Anyway, I don't want to spend a ton of money. We thought about Uber like we did with SNA but think that might be pretty expensive, but I do like Uber. I've heard of Supershuttle or Karmel but not sure about them either, and though I like Magical Express at WDW, not sure I'd like these shuttles.

So, looking for some thoughts and helpful suggestions if anyone can share their thoughts or experiences. I appreciate any help!

UberX hands down IMO from LAX. Perfect balance of speed, cost and convince.

You may be able to get SuperShuttle cheaper...but that may come with the cost of a lot of stops for other passengers first in a shared van.

UberX fare estimator says $43-$57 LAX to Disneyland.

A few other options might be to take UberPool to share your ride with someone else or another option you can consider is jumping on the free bus (G-Route) from the LAX terminal area to the Metro Green Line and pay $1.75 each to Norwalk. Once you reach Norwalk (which is the last station) you can take Uber to the Disneyland area which will save you some $ since you are closer. They are other options once you reach the Norwalk Station but they will take too long or require other bus, train and bus transfers.

New to Uber (I know!) but is that the cost per car?

A vote for Karmel here. Even if the shuttle is shared the passengers are not * that * many, so it doesn't take too long to get over to the hotels, save for traffic issues on day of travel.

Yes, that's the Uber price per car. I would Uber too. I don't care for the hassles of shared shuttles.

You could take Lansky car service, but they are $100 each way.

Yes...with Uber you pay per car trip, not per person.

If you need a bigger car for more people or luggage, you can request an UberXL...but that will be a few more bucks.

I like Lansky Limos. You are allowed a stop for 20minutes to get groceries, tip is included in quoted fare and I would think LA traffic with UBER the meter keeps ticking. Flat rate with Lansky. We too flew into SNA a few years ago and it was IDEAL! Last summer we did Uber and it was alright...this summer we plan to try LAnsky. They get good reviews as well. I do like Uber for short trips though!

Lansky meets you at baggage claim etc. We did an ABD Backstage Magic several years ago flying into LAX and Lansky was who met us at baggage claim, carried the bags, etc. Great diver. A lot of traffic. Stress free!

Ok lax is not that bad. It's all very straightforward imo. Luggage is easy, I think. Then you walk outside and read the signs to figure out where to go for your transportation. (Or call your company and they tell you where to wait)

It’s been decades since I went through Midway so I can’t compare but, I mean, it’s still Chicago. :)

Get off the plane, follow the flow of people, you’ll wind up in the area close to your luggage carousel.

I like Karmel Shuttle.
