Hi we want to got to LA, Anaheim (Disneyland and Angels Game) and San Diego. We want to go to San Diego last and fly out from there. We are trying to decide should we fly into LAX? We might want to go to a Dodgers game the day after we fly in. Where is a good place to stay near the stadium. Is it a far drive from LAX to the stadium area? Also, is the stadium near Grauman's Chinese Theater and other LA attractions?

Downtown LA would have a few nice hotels that are really close to Dodger stadium- the stadium is literally a couple minutes away from downtown. Anything specific you are looking for in a hotel?

LAX to Dodger Stadium is about 20-30 minutes without traffic (weekends), and can take up to an hour with traffic (weeknight games). I've done this drive lots of times- it's doable, but give yourself plenty of times if you go on a weeknight.

Dodger Stadium to Hollywood isn't too bad- maybe 15- 20 minutes.

Downtown has some nice hotels (Bonaventure and the new Marriott to name a few) You can take the Dodger Stadium bus via bus or the red line to Union Station. http://thesource.metro.net/2010/04/01/no-joke-dodger-stadium-express-bus-service-starts-today/

Depending on when you get in you may want to spend that day visiting Hollywood. I would suggest taking the 405 north and exiting at Sunset and heading east. This drive will take you through Beverly Hills and the Sunset Strip and right into Hollywood. You can then take Hollywood Blvd to the south 101 and head into downtown and check in.

I recently visited the new JW Marriott. It is very nice and is part of the new "L.A. Live" complex with plenty of nice restaurants. Link

OTVSP: I am often asked for pre-cruise hotel recommendations in SP. Any suggestions?

Some friends have stayed at the Crowne Plaza, but I have not been there. We met them for dinner at the Green Onion and enjoyed it.

Usually, if we meet friends pre-cruise, we go to Mishi's.

Sad to see the Mariner of the Seas leave last Sunday.

Thanks.
