I might have asked this before I really dont know, but last few years I watched a lot of old TV series that I never watched before, (my answer change over time) so here is the question

Top 3 Lawyer shows and WHY

3. Matlock - I love Andy Griffith, plus rather its in real life or on TV, I love to watch a plot unfold where someone lets them self be underestimated , then at the end show his/her stuff, thats what Andy did (a simple little country guy, right ?, lol)

2. Ally McBeal - A kind of silly program, but it was fun to watch.

1. The Practice - I love the setting, a little run down place, but the guy has gathered 3-4 of the best young lawyers in the business, the show seems realistic to me

Perry Mason - who wouldn't enjoy Raymond Burr?! But, the first episode of the series....not the Perry Mason we all grew up with, OMG!

JAG - lawyer show set in the military. Good for a few seasons.\

Ally McBeal - liked the singing. There is actually a really good scene in one of the episodes (later season) with Peter McNichol (sp?) and Bernadette Peters! Plus, Josh Groban's debut on TV!

I watched and liked Ally McBeal & The Practice when they first aired. Never watched Matlock.

The only current lawyerish show that I currently watch is How To Get Away With Murder. Really liked it the first season and the second was okay but it went down hill from there but I've kept with it and will finish it out, since this is the last season, not sure when the second half of the season will air thought.

3- Ironside - Wow Raymond Burr really made you care about his character

2- Law and Order - Liked most of the lawyers but favorite was Jaime Ross played by Carrie Lowell

1- The Practice - great plot lines for the women characters and I really liked that. It was really exciting at times.

I never watch JAG, I might try it, I tried watching Perry Mason, just to cheesy for me lol

I like Law and Order Criminal Intent , cause Vincent D'onoffrio and me were separated at birth, but that really dont have any court room in it. I am going to have to check out Ironside, I know whats its about but never really watched

Law and Order- Up to date and never ending. The original series is my favorite but I've no problem watching the others.

Boston Legal- The interplay between Spader, Bergen, and Shatner always made me laugh. Seemed quite true to life as far as office politics go.

Rumpole of the Bailey - a lawyer of a certain time and place, played by Leo McKern. I like that it was a full characterization including his professional and personal life. I wuvved that he called his wife "She Who Must Be Obeyed", a nickname I used for my mother at times, LOL.

"Rumpole" was a PBS Masterpiece series back when it was about the only channel I'd watch on non cable TV. Had good reception w/ or without the hanger antenna;). Probably shows up on someone's app:).

My favorite has always been Boston Legal. Loved the rapport between James Spader and William Shatner. The ever changing supporting cast was excellent. Loved Betty White as Alan's secretary

LOL, wasnt Betty White killing people

LA law
Perry Mason
any and all LAW and Order

** I liked the Pilot last week on ABC For LIFE
I didnt know of this, I will read up on Life

Frying pan killing reminds me of a "Six Feet Under" episode. Has nothing to do with lawyer shows but just popped into my head.

now I loved 6ft under, remind me of frying pan

on aside note when I was in the Navy, my Chief just made Ensign , and he was so excited, called his wife, she got all dressed up they were going out, but us guys insisted he have a few beers with us, he got home at 2am when he walked in the door (real drunk) he was leaning when he walked, his wife met him with a frying an to the head, lol, his face looked like he beat up bad, he just said he deserved it, and he did, it was a different time back then

Matlock
LA Law
Boston Legal

My current favorite is All Rise. It kind of reminds me of Matlock as far as Lola (the judge) gets creative with her sentencing.

Episode begins with a closeup of bacon, sausages and sunnyside up eggs frying in a CI pan. A man's voice can be heard bragging about how he screwed over a customer on the telephone sales line he works for. His voice is very annoying and he's pleased with his night's work. A woman's hand can be seen jostling the food around in the skillet so nothing burns. You think he'll die off a heart attack considering what he's eating but no. She serves him the food and then bludgeons him to death with the hot pan. Later in the show (at the police station?) she remarks that she'd been listening to his voice for over twenty years and couldn't take hearing the pettiness anymore.

I was recently divorced and uhm well I found it amusing......oops.
