Anyone else addicted to it?????

I started watching the SVU shows back in Dec or Jan...and now I'm hooked on ALL of them. Now I'm thinking of just buying the box sets.....does anyone else have those?? Do they add in any extra stuff like behind the scenes info??

How did you know what I was watching?;)

DH & I are addicted to these shows also....did you know that you can find some sort of Law and Order on just about every night???!!

I heard Jay Leno say that these shows are getting so popular in Canada and Europe that when police arrest people they're saying "I take the 5th".....and the cops reply, "You idiot, we don't HAVE the 5th!!!"

My parents are totally obsessed with it...and now i am too! It's like, I can't go anywhere wednesday night because I HAVE to stay home and watch it!! The original is my favorite and we watch the re-runs on TNT like every night...and complain when it isn't on on Thursdays because of NBA. CI is my second favorite and then SVU. Now, though, Red Sox season is starting tomorrow(YAY!!) and so we'll end up watching the games instead of Law & Order...except for the Wednesday night ones, because they're our favorites.

(I can't believe Lenny is leaving!!:( )

::yes:: that's why my butts not getting any smaller

Monday and Saturday are the biggest time slots...running 7pm till midnight...and then it's on TNT everynight at 7pm ....oh and it's also on NBC Sunday and Wednesday.
Don't know why I'm so hooked on it.

Yep...thanks to cable TV we Canadians tend to think we have a lot of rights we just don'tt have. Bet many a person has been surprised by that. Personally I solved it by marrying an American and moving here.;)

As to the topic....I have been watching Law and Order since the beginning and I never grow tired of it. I love all three versions. Between Law & Order and West Wing, my TV plate is full and satisfying.

In regards to *Lenny* I heard that he is going to be apart of yet another Law & Order spin off. I'm hoping they bring back Chris Noth(Mr. Big), I loved Logan and Lenny together.

I work in lower Manhattan. they shoot outdoor scenes for the various shows on location. I"ve seen them setting up for a shoot near the courthouse many times. and I've seen Sam Waterson in action.

great show.

I love Jerry Orbach. loved him since he did "42nd Street" on Broadway years ago.

I got burned out on the show for a while and hadn't watched in a couple of years. Recently I started catching the SVU and CI reruns on USA. I'm really getting back into it now. Great show.

Mind if I ask where you heard this? I would love it if they did another spin off. And I miss Chris Noth also.

I saw him in a play on Broadway. At the end of the evening they auctioned off a bottle off booze that had been autographed by all the cast members, including Spalding Grey, Michael Learned, Charles Durning, Christine Ebersole, and Elizabeth Ashley. Noth conducted the auction. He was so witty and charming, and unlike the character on Law and Order.

by the way...there was one minor role in the play portrayed by an actress whose credits simply said " frequent offender on Law & Order". I LMAO at that one.

I love Law and Order, too. You can turn on an episode at any point and not feel lost. It's also really great for me to fall asleep to!

I don't care for the one that doesn't go to the courtroom. Criminal Intent?

that Orbach is leaving the show is confirmed. that he's going to a possible spinoff is confirmed. the rest of the spinoff cast is speculation.

 Hi Kristy!
Me!! Long time viewer.
I have all the boxed sets that are available....season 1 of all three. :)

As for the new spin off. here is the news:

Sources say "Law & Order" veteran Jerry Orbach (news) will depart Dick Wolf's long-running crime drama at the end of the season after 12 years on the beat as wise-cracking Detective Lennie Briscoe. However, Orbach may still remain in business with Wolf with a role on the upcoming fourth installment of the franchise: "Law & Order: Trial by Jury."

As for the flagship series, there is no word yet about a replacement for Orbach, but one scenario involves his character's partner, Detective Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin (news)), being promoted.

"'Law & Order' has a 15-year track record of Dick Wolf never commenting on casting changes during the season," a spokesman for the show said Thursday. Indeed, "Law & Order" has famously weathered many cast changes since it bowed in 1990. At present, Orbach is the longest-serving member of the current "Law & Order" cast members, having signed on during the show's third season in 1992.

partial to SVU but will watch Wednesday too

FYI: Elizabeth Rohm was also a Angel cast member during seasons 1 and 2

Another Law and Order fan too. I don't watch SVU, just never got "into" this spinoff. My favorite is Law and Order CI. I am still in shock that Lenny is leaving Law and Order. I am going to miss his wisecracks on the show. I would like to see them bring back Chris Noth as Mike Logan.

I love all of the Law and Order shows as well with SVU being my favorite. I have a thing for Christopher Meloni. Also I was a big fan of Homicide and I thought it was great how Munch moved from Baltimore to NY and joined the cast. It is a show that I never get tired of.
Is the producer of L&O the same one who produced OZ (HBO) ?because many of the actors from OZ are major characters on the many L&O shows, so I wonder if there is some relationship there.

I love all three Law & Order shows! I actually get upset if I can't find a rerun on USA or TNT every night!

The only person who sometimes irks me is Goren from Criminal Intent - I can't stand how he is 1000000% right all of the time! The writers never make him wrong about anything! His partner Eames (Kathryn Erbe) is funny about it though - her character gets a subtle sarcastic look everytime Goren reveals his super powers. Why can't Goren be wrong every so often? He can make the most off-the-wall conclusions and of course he is always right! Ugh!

I hear that complaint all the time. Personally I like his character......it reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. Admittedly an acquired taste.

I think he has been wrong at least once. I remember how upset he was. Now just to remember what episode that was.
