Does anyone remember what it cost to do laundry at the resorts (specifically POFQ, but I suspect it's the same at CR, ASMo, etc.)? And also what it cost to buy a packet of detergent and a dryer sheet?

TIA.

It's $2.00 to wash and $2.00 a cycle for the dryer. I didn't buy the detergent or dryer sheet packets there so I don't know the price.

Thanks for the superquick response. How long is a cycle on the dryer? I remember the old dryers in my first apartment only went for 15 mins. at a time.

I asked this about a month ago and was told $2 per load - about 30 minutes each for washers and dryers. Also forewarned not to overload dryer as it may take extra time to dry. Laundry facilities are located near pools so may want to grab a pool chair and a drink and relax by pool while wash is going. I found - don't know if an option for you or not but Target had Tide - 4 load bottle and 20 sheets of all fabric softener both in trial section for .99 each - (just bought Friday) One load boxes available at resorts as well but I believe it is more - 1-2.00 per load. These trial sizes are small and easily packable if you can manage to fit into luggage/carryon.

Its $2 for an wash and the same for a dry and for your detergent it was $1. Wash and dry cycles are both around 30 minutes.

That is an EXCELLENT idea! :drinking1

I usually put some laundry soap (powdered) in some small ziplocs, that way I use the detergent I do at home in case of a reaction to another kind of soap, I just put one loads worth in each bag. I also do this because I have always seem to have trouble with the soap dispensers (either empty or won't take my quarters!) then I throw a couple of dryer sheets in my suitcase they make the suitcase smell good too!

Bring extra quarters for the dryers! I stayed at CR last week and got a bum dryer and had to run it through twice on a fairly small load! My other two dryers were HOT and shrunk my shorts -or was that the dining plan??!! :rolleyes1

Chyam,

People who like cats and Eeyore must think alike, that is exactly what I do with my detergent and fabric softener sheets!

I also want to mention...be sure to check out your dryer before you put clothes in. On year at POR there was a blue crayon in our dryer that got all over our clothes. We finally got it all out, but what a mess.
