Hey all, The fiance and I are going on a 10 night stay in orlando. Can't wait!!! Obviously for 10 nights were not going to bring 11 outfits. The hotel were staying at (courtyard lake buena vista at marriott village) has laundry rooms so we will be using those. Do you bring your detergent or buy it when you get into orlando? Or do you have some other suggestions...thanx DISers

I went to our local laundry mat and picked up a couple little boxes in there for $.50 each.

What about when you stay onsight and use one of the resort laundry rooms? I assume they sell detergent there?

I bring some powdered detergent from home in a ziploc bag (just in case the vending machines that carry the detergent have run out). Also comes in handy for hand-washing stuff like swimsuits.

I also bring a couple of fabric softener sheets. Besides using them for laundry, they reduce static cling if you rub them on the clothes you are wearing!

I usually bring from home. I'll make a stop at Target and get the travel size Tide ($1.00 - 50c coupon) It's good for 4 loads. I'll also pack 4 dryer sheets in a ziploc bag. Put everything in a bigger ziploc bag just in case of leaks, and I'm all set.

We leave Sunday morning for our first ever trip to WDW. Somehow, for the three of us, I've managed to fill 4 suitcases already! Rather than continue to overpack, I've decided I will take some laundry supplies as a "just in case" and then I can do some laundry if I have to. I bought a travel sized bottle in the travel section at Target and filled it with liquid Woolite. This way, I can use it to wash a couple of things by hand if needed in the sink in the hotel, or if needed I can also use a larger amount to do a load of laundry.

We bought the $0.99 Tide at Target too and some Gain dryer sheets at the $1 store. I plan to ship them along with my other items when the time comes. Just be sure to bring a roll of quarters since hotel laundry can often be on the pricey side. I also bought two pop-up mesh hampers (one for lights and one for darks) to stow our dirty clothes and carry them to the laundry services (lots of DIS'rs have found these at the $1 store, but mine didn't carry them. I got two at Walgreens for $5). Doing laundry at WDW is not top on my list of things to do, but I agree with you it is not feasible to bring 11+ outfits for each person for the trip!
