Laundry staying at Studio?

I know there are not washer/dryers in the Studios but I was just wondering if there are facilities to do laundry at the resorts?

All DVC resorts will have a laundry room somewhere that those in a studio can use. They are free to use.

OKW and SSR have the laundry rooms near the quiet and main pools. AKV, BCV and VWL have them inside the villas' buildings. At the BWV we've only had 1 bedrooms, so I haven't used the laundry rooms, but there will be one somewhere.

The laundry detergent is not free, but available for you to purchase at Disney prices. We purchased a small travel size bottle of Tide several years ago and always bring it with us.

I just bought some of the Purex 3in1 sheets to take with us at the end of the month. No worries about leaks, and no need to bring dryer sheets. I have no idea how they'll work, but I love the travelability of them.

Some advice...don't wait til the last minute to try to do your laundry. We spent 8 nites at BCV last month & during our entire stay, there was only one washing machine available to use in the DVC laundry room. The other one was broken (with a sign on it stating a part had been ordered).

The ones at SSR are great! We do laundry on a pool day. Load up the washer, set the timer on the iPod and catch some rays while doing the laundry! No worries!

bwv laundry room is right below the gift shop.. take elevator one floor down... pool level... they have 2 washer and 2 dryer... very nice...

One more thing. You can't leave your laundry and return hours later. You have to move it from the washer to the dryer as soon as a dryer is vacant. Then remove it from the dryer when it is finished. There aren't enough washers and dryers to be able to leave your stuff until you are ready to move it. Plus, too many studio guests who need to use the washers and dryers.

Otherwise, you may find your clothing removed from the washer or dryer so another guest could use the machine.
