Laundry room/1/2 bath inspiration needed!

I need some inspiration for "decorating" my laundry room, painting it mainly and for my 1/2 bath. They are separate rooms but the only rooms we have left to do. The bath isn't anything too exciting and we aren't going to change any fixtures right now. The vanity is a cultured marble light tan and white swirl with your basic oak base. The toilet is white.

The laundry room is a laundry room, large 8x21 with your standard laundry room fixtures, washer, dryer, laundry tub and about 12 feet of a "faux" wood counter top for folding clothing. That will get changed someday, but not anytime soon.

I need some inspiration. I just can't come up with any ideas. The bath could be really fun and dramatic. The laundry room can be seen from the foyer but there is a door to close so it doesn't have to 'match' the rest of the house.

a friend re-did her laundry room by putting a new coat of paint on it and then finding a wallpaper boarder that i thought was realy cute-it had a clothes line with articles of clothing, sheets and such blowing in the wind (also had an occasional butterfly sitting on the top of the line). the rental we're in now someone drew (full size) some blouses of different styles on hangers-then went so far as to glue buttons, snaps, and on one a little flower applique.

with a small half bath i'de go with a lighter paint shade so it does'nt feel too closed in.
